Oh god here we go again the BBC is starting that terrible show again which means that all talk on BBC channels for the foreseeable future will be about this celeb and that celeb.

Do they not realise that a lot of us absolutely detest the Prima-Donna's that line up to appear on what is a waste of licence payers money ,and of course there will be the inevitable "scam" phone lines to rip viewers off again.

We got rid of our television ages ago and on the rare chance there is something interesting on we go to our sons to watch.

The BBC sell these shows all over the world so with this massive income surely its time to ditch the licence fee altogether.

This question is not about the Licence fee thats me having a rant.

So,are you looking forward to its return or dreading it.?

  1. I love it and the Dancing on Ice show so yes I will be watching it

  2. I'm looking forward to it - I really enjoy watching the celebs go from having two left feet to becoming accomplished dancers.  It's good, clean fun!!!

  3. My TV has an on and off button so it doesn't bother me at all.

  4. h**l no!!!! Strictly Come Dancing is my favourite programme closely followed by BB, CBB, I'm a Celebrity, DOI, X Factor and Dancing with the Stars. That little lot is more than worth the licence fee.

I guess you aren't too keen on watching s**y Brendan or Matthew strutting their stuff in ultra tight groin bulging lycra then? :-)

  5. Oh get outta here!

Theres great FAMILY entertainment in that programme.

    There is no s*x.

    No Violence.

    No swearing.

    No bloody bodies lying everywhere.

They might be z list personalities parading as stars and celebrities but so what?

    Its good clean fun.

They have to work damned hard to learn these dance routines.  They dont put the hours in and it shows and they get sent out.

They have to put immense commitment into the dance routines and the practice hours.  It sometimes becomes a defining moment in their lives.  And whats so wrong with that.

Its successful because actually we are all up for a challenge and its not much different than sitting at the colosseum watching the gladiators fight.

Everyone has their favourite.  Everyone becomes an arm chair expert on heel toe leads etc!

Its immense fun.  The costumes are great - plenty of 'oh my god she is never going to get away with wearing THAT!'

But at the end of the day they have to have some talent.

    It isnt a spoof.

    It isnt a game.

Its a competition and it becomes deadly serious as the weeks go on - you obviously didnt see Gaby Logans face last year when she was knocked out in the early rounds.

ALL the family can watch.  And whats so wrong with that?

Nothing, and I mean, nothing, is wrong with good clean entertainment.

Its what Britain used to be renowned for.  We were the entertainment capital of the world.

So just ssshhhhh - sit down, actually watch it for a few weeks and if you can do any better.....well lets see it matey.

  6. It gets worse Bruce Forsyth is hosting it.

  7. Why not do what I do? Whenever there is a show on television that I do not want to watch, I do something real radical, totally cutting edge and right out there. I don't watch it.

How's that for a rebellious streak, eh?

  8. Is this 1968 or 2008, there are other channels you know, if you've got digital try pressing the RED button!

  9. How VERY dare you! You're entitled to your opinion but I mean, there are just as many, if not more, people who like it. If you don't like it turn over the channel. If you have changed to digital, which you should have, then you have hundreds of other channels to watch.

Just noticed you said you don't have a TV...so what the bleedin heck are you complaining about?

  10. I LOVE Strictly Come Dancing. It's revived ballroom and latin dancing and shown younger audiences what it's about rather then frumpy boring dances. There's always a couple of celebs that are amazing at the dancing and I always enjoy watching it. Sorry, I don't agree with you.

  11. You can always change channel, I would rather l**k my dogs butt hole than watch that crock.

  12. I absolutely love it because I love dancing so yes I am really looking forward to it.
