  1. ...sadly, i am...i wonder why...

  2. When I returned to civilian life (USMC) many years ago I was eager to join my pier group and live the life I only was able to look at from afar.  Over the course of that adventure I was an easily led astray and made a bunch of bad decision which soon came back to haunt me.  I've since learned to stop, think, stop before leaping..

  3. No, I tend to stay on the straight and narrow path even when most others begin to wander off aimlessly into the abyss.  I painfully trudge onward seeking the dawn of a new horizon.  Onward I go, to the very edge of the earth itself.

  4. Yes, it doesn't take much prompting for me to ask a totally inappropriate question on here and receive heaps of abuse for my efforts!

I also have a total inability to say no whenever someone asks 'would you like a drink?'

  5. If I believed that I was on a 'perfect course', and that someone convinced me to 'change course', I suppose that would mean that I am easy to 'lead astray'.   I like to think, however, that I am in control of my actions, and if I am convinced to change, it is I who have made the decision.

Further, whatever I do, I try to accept responsibility for decisions that I have made.   It is a weak and dishonest person that points a finger at someone else, blaming that person for 'leading one astray'!

A lot of people about 100 years ago used to talk glibly about what 'The Devil' made them do.   I have mild contempt for this evasive thinking, and failure to own ones own errors!

  6. i could be. why don't you find out?

  7. None of us are led astray, we're all born that way.  Our purpose on earth is to get us back on the straight and narrow highway that leads us back to the god who created us.

  8. I tend to be very stubborn when it comes to my life. I have in the past been led into doing things for my husband that I was very uncomfortable with, but felt it was my duty as a good wife. Every other aspect of my life though I am very controlled. I will listen to people's suggestions, but I only take what I need from it, then do my own thing. If it goes pear shaped then I only have myself to blame. I'm with Ian E on this one too...it is important to take responsibility for your own actions. Just cause Bob jumped off the bridge, if you CHOOSE to follow him, it is not Bob's fault but your own.

  9. Well, for me, it really depends on who's leading me. People that I don't know very well can't lead me away. But there are people who can. I can be easily lead astray by some.

  10. No,  not that easily.  In fact it really is tough to lead me astray.

But I am moved easily by the 'Sob' Stories...

  11. Um... not really ... least not when it really matters..I am too cautious..too worried about how my behaviour may affect others etc.
