Have you ever complained, sent something back, and then been foolhardy enough to eat it after they "fixed" what you were complaining about? LOL!

  1. Never rude, but I've sent food back a very few times, always when it was obviously not prepared properly (raw, or stone cold) or had begun to rot or mold.

  2. No, I try to never be rude to anyone. I usually just ask for a refund, there is no way I would send my food back and "trust" them to fix it without adding a lil something else to my stuff!

I have this fear of someone spitting in my food, I would have to hurt them!

  3. no.

  4. I am not rude to the server it is not their fault....yes, I will eat something that has been sent back and I have done so....the majority of stories about things that happen to food that gets sent back are just that, stories.....many restuarants have cameras on the kitchen, bar and servers so nothing can happen to the food (bad) and if someone makes a claim, they have proof the people are misrepresenting.....however, after working in the industry for many years I know how frustrating it is to kitchen, servers, and management.....poor training is no excuse for poor service and often that is why food is not properly prepared and servers cant serve. It is not  something everyone can do, nor is cooking....golly some people cant even wash dishes .....most restaurasnts strive hard to defeat the image people want to portray about  bad service, bad things happening when food is sent back....do it tactfully and you will be better off...besides why act like an uneducated sloth when you can just as easily be polite and still ocmplain.

  5. No, there is never ever any good reason to be rude or mean!

  6. I just thought about that today. I'm never rude but once I ordered a steak from Ryans and it was cooked wrong. I had to send it back 3 times and when I was about to eat it I thought about what they probably did to it and just asked for my money back.

  7. I'm never rude because I am paranoid about them spitting in my food, but I have sent things back. As long as you are friendly about the whole thing and humble then I think it's OK - in fact if we were all to accept that the quality restaurants give us is OK, then they could serve anything they liked.

  8. I've been a waitress in a supper club for 10 years.  I have sent stuff back as a customer, but I have never been rude.  I've never seen anything spit on, put hair in, stepped on anything while at work.  I really don't wonder if they've done something to it if I send something back.  Most food service people aren't out to get you.  Most depend on their job for money and aren't going to mess around.  Be warned though, if you continually come in and make a scene, we do remember who you are, and it's open season.  My favorite customer from h**l, dressed as "Mimi" from The Drew Carey show, complete with the blue eyeshadow, kept me running, everything was wrong, split the bill with her mother on to 2 credit cards and left me a dollar.  She then proceded to tell me that I was the best waitress she's had, and said she'd ask for me next time.  She did ask for me the next time. Made insinuations about my weight, I suppose to make her cow sized frame feel good, and generally kept me running, whining if something wasn't just right, leaving me the same dollar tip.  I can't say that I didn't smile from ear to ear when she spilled her full coffee cup onto her white pants.

  9. I am a waitress. Go ahead, be rude

    {{evil laugh}}

  10. I've been rude before, not realizing it though.  I suppose I wear my emothions on my sleeve like that be being short and visibly annoyed.  I'm a bad man.

Sent somethin' back?  I have.  But only at a fast food resaurant where I was able to see them make a new burger.  I didn't intentionally mean for it to work out that way, but it did help.  Don't really send stuff back anymore.

Although I did have a relatively good experience at a Denny's in Phoenix.  I ordered steak and eggs and there was a hair in my food under the steak I hadn't touched.  I told the server.  I got my meal for free and a new meal to go.  Didn't eat it though..started to wonder if there was something intentionally wrong with the dish.

  11. I've never been rude to them in the first place but I was watching "Waiting..." the other day and now I know why you shouldn't be rude to them.

  12. Never intensionally.  The only times i send something back is if it is not what I ordered.

If the stake is almost raw i will eat it.  IF it is over done i will eat it.

if it has something i do not what in it i will take it off.

If i get a hamburger and there is no beef.

I will ask where is the beef and send it back (true story.)

And I have received someone else's order or it came out completely wrong.

I am just unlucky that way.

I ordered a taco at taco bell and got one with only lettuce and cheese one day.

I was at dinner when someone complained that everything was wrong and was really rude but it was after we ate our food.  We ate for free that night

  13. I have never been rude to waiters or waitresses.  I tried that gig for six weeks and could not hang and know how hard a job it can be.

I have with respect requested that something be corrected with my order but that is extremely rare.  My service is almost always great because I treat the people serving me with the respect they deserve.

  14. If they give me attitude, ofcourse I will be rude. We are paying for our food, it was to be how it's described on the menu. They get no tip if they're not polite either.
