Are you fed up with LLL's? (Left lane lunkheads!) Are you one of them? Hope not.?

Question

You have most likely seen them. They drive in the left lane at 2-5 mph less then the speed limit. When they come to a hill they actually speed up as they move into the SLOW traffic lane. Then when you get past the hill they move back into the left lane and slow down! What is with that mentality?

OR, you see them coming fast from behind you and when they get right next to your car, they slow down to match your speed and stick to you. I call them Clingons. Get it? Cling on to my car. They even do it when there isn't another car for miles around.

They pull out onto the four lane in light traffic and immediately move into the left lane. Because that is where they LIVE! Doesn't matter that they aren't willing to go the speed limit. Evidently they just feel safer over there. I have seen near accidents because they have caused a traffic jam. People were switching lanes, tailgating, trying to squeeze through. BAD!

Anymore, I hit the horn and the headlights until they move to the right lane.

I don't know the answere for this but it is a common problem. I think it is some sort of a power trip for them, just another of many examples of a complete lack of consideration for others and of our society in general.

Have you tried firing warning shots over the hood of the offending vehicle?  I recommend tracer rounds, especially at night!  You know if those d**n hippies and Californians turn down that d**n rock music and drive we could get somewhere on time.  Like a liquor store.

Be careful... Flashing your headlights and blowing your horn could get you a "Road Rage" ticket in some jurisdictions.

yes. beyond fed up. that's what the flash to pass is for on your turn signal handle, but many people don't know what it means or don't care. the next time you're not in a hurry and have a LLL, pass them and slow down and see just how slow they will go without passing you.

I think it would be cool for someone to invent a neon sign for vehicles that you could press a button and display to other drivers...."get out of the way," "turn your lights down," "Idiot," and of course "here's your sign." Maybe a few of the lesser 4 letter words (ones that won't get you in trouble with the law). But, the offender would have to be able to read and from what I have seen on the roads, not too many people do!
