Are you feeling hungry?

Question

a lite repast offered this morn

Appetite

An hour tastes fine

to those who pause

but to ponder a day…

requires an appetite.

So too, a lifetime

as hunger calls to you.

And will you fill

your plate, with this food

or are you…

just a dieter?

I'll take a plateful of lifetime, huge side of laughter(don't be stingy with the giggles!), ocean of happy gravy, and a whole gallon of good dreams that come true.....thus, too, the poetry that will always bring out this answer...right on time, Neon!!!!

Wonderful metaphoric poem.  I have been feasting on poetry. I will never again be hungry as long as poets fill my plate.

I like what you did with the metaphor...you could easily expand this into a larger piece if you were so inclined--the central theme is strong (though of course that's up to you).

I guess this means if I don't strive to be more than I am, as well as  take a few chances in life I'm stuck here without the banana pudding I so desire... but I only thought it would take a few seconds, I didn't know it would take a lifetime. note: I don't want a bowl, I want the whole darn thing.

Feed the hunger, but do not over stuff - or dieting will be a necessity.

P.S: don't cook in your poems to much. My husband could taste the bacon from yours last time and it got me cooking at 4:am. My household are all asleep. (PEACE YAHHHHHH WOOHOOO!) : )
