in other words, are you for genetically modified organisms?

im doing an essay and i need reasons why i support GMOs

I cannot give you any reasons to support GMOs, because there is nothing to support.  Genetically modified foods drain all the nutrients from the soil.  Bigger does not necessarily mean better. In fact it is the exact opposite, in this case of GMOs the taste has been left behind in the science lab. Along side morals of course. As one farmer found out the hard way with his crops. His name is Percy Schmeiser and he was taken to court by Monsanto, accusing him of using their canola seed without licence.  What really happened was that seeds from their crops drifted on the wind to his crops and produced into plants.Schmeiser is  a small-time operator who wants to grow crops and develop his own seeds without worrying about whether is infringing bio-tech patents if some of the modified seeds blow on to his property.He is  very concerned with the patenting of life forms, and when you introduce a new form of life into the environment, there's no going back. After all there have been reports that now certain insects and weeds are quickly developing immune systems to these new plant organisms and herbicides. And not just new immune systems but also these insects are attacking huge acres of other crops that they don't usually eat. It is it turning into a sci-fi episode of engineering life forms to be perfect and far better than nature. But nature takes care of its own one way or another and challenges human methods to play God.

your paper is on reasons YOU support GMO's.   so if you do support them, then what are your reasons? and if you don't what are your reasons?  research what GMO's are then decide for yourself if you think it is a good idea or not.
