Personally I'm all for abortion.

Also are you male or female? Do you think men should have a say? haha don't bite my head off at that one, just curious.

here is my thought..."KEEP YOUR LAWS OFF MY BODY"  abortion is between a woman and her GOD. Thats it..abortion will always be here but I think that there ought to be set time limits and not 3 months..more like 1 1/2 months...after that...only if the mothers life is in danger or the fetus is severly deformed and has no chance at life outside the womb...who ever wants to thumbs down me feel free..because like I said Abortion will never be illegal.  AS it should'nt.

i think that people who are pro-life lack understanding that there are alot of gray area's and i think pro-choice people should realize partial birth and late term abortions are just plain wrong

I don't think abortions should ever be illegal. It's a woman's choice whether she wants to keep the baby or not. I think the only guys that should have a say in it, are the ones that have the pregnant wives/girlfriends. But politicians don't need to ever be involved.

I feel like...condoms are just something for people who have s*x with a lot of people. I don't know why...I understand it protects against STD'S and all that. But, I also feel like STD's wouldn't exist if people would keep their trousers on, and stop visiting other trousers.

Pills...I am against the pills. I too understand some people may not want to have children, or may not want to have a lot of children. But, I still feel like it's playing God. If you don't want to get pregnant avoid s*x. But, we are also human with sexual urges. So, I am half and half on it. I am not sure what to think about the pill yet.

i am female. like youve prolly heard its not a choice, its a child. it is a human life regardless of how developed it is. i mean if it isnt human life than what is it? and if human life isnt significant then what is? if youve seen pictures of what goes on during an abortion then youd see its murder. its undeniable, i dont know why there even has to be a fight to make it illegal. everyone deserves a chance, even the unborn. abortion is un-american and immoral. many woman who are pregnant had already made a choice, they chose to have s*x. and for those women who didnt have a choice have the beautiful choice of adoption and anyone who adopts a child should truly feel good about it.

and yes i do think men should have a say, they are the father, not just a bystander.

female. all for it. what if you got raped by someone and didn't want to keep the baby! omg. the man part is kind of hard. he should have a say if he was rich and made enough money to support me and the baby. because i would not bring my child into the world living on the streets or being poor. if i went to full term there would be no way i could ever give up my baby so .....idk.  as long as i (or the father) had plenty of money to support a child and ourselves.

I'm for abortion.

I mean, obviously 14 year old girls shouldn't be having babies and ****, but it's their own d**n fault for being s***s and they should live with their decisions. However, if there is no one to take care of the baby, or if the girl is incompetent, which is most likely the case, the "baby" will probably be better off not living at all as opposed to a terrible and rough life.

Also, rape victims are the biggest reason why I support abortion. Who wants to have a baby whose father is some creep who attacked you in a back alley or something?

Also, perhaps this is insensitive of me but, honestly, I don't think that "babies" can really be considered babies until they are well along. I mean, a couple of weeks? Really, it's still just a bundle of cells...

I am for accurate and comprehensive s*x education for all people.  I am also for inexpensive and easily accessible birth control that works.  No one should ever be put in the position of having to choose whether to get abortion for any reason.  

That being said, I am for abortion.  Women should have complete control over their bodies.  The woman should talk about her choice to have an abortion with her partner, but in the end it should be her decision and he should respect that.  If a woman decides not to have an abortion, that should be supported, too; and she should not be pressured into it by anyone.  

ETA: I'm a woman.  And what's with all of the people saying "I'm against it, but if I got pregnant tomorrow I'd have to rethink that"?  Grow up.

i'm against abortion but i'm pretty sure if i was in a situation where i was pregnant i would seriously rethink everything like if i was ready, if i was able to have it, if the dad was there. i'm a female. and birth control, never really got why everyone likes it becasue how i see it, it messes with your period cycles, not help it, and its annoying plus you gain weight when your on it apparently but i am for condoms.

Abortion has been around for centuries, only now it is safe and legal. If they make abortion illegal again, that will not stop abortion, it will only send us back to the dark ages (or the 1950's at least) where women were still getting them, but being maimed and dying because of botched abortions. Also, where do you think all those thousands and thousands of unwanted babies will go if they are forced to be born to mothers who don't want them? Again, we are back in time to a place called State Run Orphanages. One more point, how do you force pre-natal care on a woman who does not want the pregnancy in the first place? I teach severely handicapped kids and some of these mothers did not want the baby so they tried to "self-abort" through the use of drugs and alcohol. I say to all those who advocate adoption instead of abortion, just how many of these kids are YOU willing to adopt?

I'm personally against it, but, in saying that, if I were to get pregnant tomorrow I have no idea what I'd do (as I'm 17). I think I'd have it and put it up for adoption. My boyfriend would want me to abort it but I don't think I could (not even for religious purposes). I think to some extent men should have a say but the final choice is the woman's. I'm fine with birth control. I've been on the pill for a couple months and I don't see anything wrong with those. That's just my opinion though.

I'm male and I'm against abortion because it is the taking of a human life.  I think the father of the child should have a say regarding the life of the baby; after all, he's just as responsible for the baby as is the mother.  In addition to the taking of the child's life, an abortive society begins to foster an actions-without-consequences mindset which leads people to  disregard the consequences of their actions.  The pill and birth control methods do the same.

I'm a guy and I say abortion is wrong. If you really don't want the kid, give it up for adoption. At least some other family gets him/her. Killing unborn children is absolutely terrible and is necessary under no circumstances. If you really don't want to get pregnant, use a condom or birth control. I'd really rather that people only have s*x when they're married, but if it does happen, don't risk it.

Before abortion was legalized, some women would go to hideous lengths to abort their babies themselves. Many of them died from unsafe, unhygienic back-alley clinic procedures or from measures taken with their own hands (hands as in tools, tools as in... coat hangers).

I feel that the right to a safe, clean abortion is a necessity for women.

I am female. And I believe it is entirely up to the female, though hopefully she would consider the baby's father's opinion.

My view on abortion is about the same as being agnostic.

My take on it is abortion is okay given it's because of rape, death by birth, and any other medical issues.  But for the sake of 'convenience' or finances, or because "the child doesn't need to be born in a horrible world and suffer" which is like saying we shouldn't have children PERIOD because they'll be born into a horrible world and suffer, then no they shouldn't have an abortion.  

Even for the teen pregnancies, can't blame the process of NATURE for the lack of s*x exucation and efficient awareness of the consequences of s*x and pregnancies.  Society has allowed s*x to be the 'thing' to do nowadays, and it will reach children's ears and minds and give them all the more reason to have at it....and since NO ONE wants to make these kids aware that if you DO IT, this will happen....well you'll get the teen pregnancies.  

I mean there's thousands of scenarios to question whether one should have an abortion or not....the whole premise is responsibility and means far beyond your control.  If you KNEW the consequence, and you did it anyway..then guess what..you should deal with your responsibility instead of pressing the easy button.  Life isn't supposed to cater to you, you're supposed to make the best out of it. But if by traumatic life in the future you get raped and get pregnant (although i still think you can just offer the child to an orphanage or SOMETHING, let them live and hope they can become an ASSET to society rather than be a 'could-be'), or you'll die if the baby is born, or you have AIDS, or the baby will most certainly die by some circumstance...then I wouldn't see why having an abortion wouldn't be a problem in that scenario.

I mean I know this is a very TOUCHY subject, and you have the extremists on each side get pretty rowdy....but I think because of the moral, religious, and gender issues that are mixed in with it, there's no one RIGHT ANSWER for it.  Because if you're hardcore catholic or religious, then of course no abortion is right because it's murdering the child, it's wrong, blah blah.  If you're atheist, although some are still pro-life, i wouldnt' be suprised if many are pro-choicers as their morals rely on what is 'logical' and more for the individual rather than morals based from the bible or whatever their religion entails.  Then of course the big issue with women and 'it's their body' and men where some who truly care about having a child and its responsibility don't have their say, while other scumbags for men who neglect their child and ENCOURAGE it because of their irresponsibilty fuel the fire for women to judge men as 'worthless' or just 'sperm donors' in the choice of having a child.  

Such a variety in belief and opinion that you can't really find no true answer and there isn't any RIGHT CHOICE...it's like religion as well...you can't find the right answer or have the RIGHT CHOICE....too many differences in opinions and lifestyles that prove/disprove it.......

In the end I just hope i never have to come in contact with that decision, i'm married with a wonderful woman and i hope there isn't any complications or problems that will involve abortion....it's not something i'd want to get involved in and i pray i never do.  Not just for religious reason (i'm agnostic anyway.), but just cause I would want my child or any child to have a chance to be something, everyone suffers, it's how they get out of it and become great that seems to be the greater reward, and that's what i would hope for my child.
