  1. I'm completely for it.

It's silly for people to let their religion or personal opinion to get in the way of peoples lives that don't concern them.

    It isn't a choice...

  2. i know i am SOOOO for it its sad having people discouraging you from being happy and being with the one you love. i think its wrong even if its against christ's wishes, he wasnt right and thats a flaw that he has and people should realize that and rise above it.

  3. i'm for g*y marriage. if i was a L*****n wanted to marry my girlfriend i would want to be able to do so.

to the people who thumb me down

i also celebrate g*y pride  day! crazy rainbow outfits and rainbow duct tape! silent the entire day!

  4. I'm for it, even though I'm not g*y.

If my daughter or son turned g*y I would still love them and support them.

I agree that if they are against it they are bing selfish and close minded. What happens if your best friend was g*y? If mine was I will support her. Just think no JUDGE.

  5. Well, g*y marriage is legal in CA now. Represent!

I'm totally for it and I'm straight.

Love is love and people should be able to marry the one they love whether that other person is of the same s*x or not!

  6. "When people are against it, I think they're being close-minded and selfish..

what if your daughter or son was g*y?"

How is that selfish? A person cant have their own oppinion?

What about when people are for it? Does that make them selfish and closed minded to the traditional male-female marriage?

son/daughter? the parents have a right to choose their own actions and reactions. They can deal with it however they want. It doent make the selfish.

Born through Christ? There are a lot of misconceptions with that. Most people who claim to be Christian bash on g**s and say a bunch of really negative things. As a Christian, youre supposed to be loving and kind.

Im a Christia. I personally am against it and would never vote for same-s*x marriage, but that doesnt stop the person next to me from choosing how they want to live.

Christians just suggest and give advice through their backgrounds and teachings. Its up to the person to make the dicision of whether or not they want to follow it.

  7. I am all for it.

Nobody is born g*y. Are you kidding me?

Everybody just likes what they like. They aren't born to be an orientation. Because some people don't find out as early as others do.

People who are against it, and think they can be "born again" through Jesus Christ, just shows that freaking "God" and "Jesus" are close-minded and selfish. They are against it, are they not?

  8. For.

I don't see how anyone can really be against it (though I will read the against answers in a minute). Honestly, I don't care if they want to marry someone same s*x or opposite s*x, as long as they are happy.

  9. I'm for it. I think people should be able to marry whoever they want as long as the other person consents. And people who say it's against God or the Bible, um, ever heard of Separation of Church and State?

  10. I don't know why you think it's sad.. g*y people are g*y, and they don't know anything different... they aren't sad, that i know of.

So, if they want to get married, i wish them all the best.

  11. They would hate their daughter or son.

Love is love. Stop acting like you're better than someone just because you are "normal" and love the opposite s*x. It's disgusting and stupid.

It's fact: A book was banned that reported how penguins from a zoo were g*y - why was it banned? Because it proved you don't chose to be g*y. Why the h**l would a penguin choose to be g*y?

Answer me that, and then I will understand.

  12. I'm for it. Technically as a Roman catholic I am supposed to be against it, buy God gave us free will so we could choose how we wanted to be. If people who want to do something that doesn't hurt others than that is there right not only as people but as Americans!

AND to all the "Christians" out there that are so hateful to g**s I would like to say: Did y'all just forget the whole nonjudgemental thing? or did you think that part wasn't as important? Wtf people? Its God's job to judge not yours so shut up and let the man work!

  13. coming from someone who was raised catholic, I feel that you should be who you are and be with who you want, even though I am straight and have a family doesn't mean someone with different choices, views, feelings shouldn't have what they want.

Look at it this way, religion use to be the big thing where you had to be christian, or else, and now there are so many views.  Its still a big issue for some, but really in the end its what you are comfortable with believing in.( oh and I don't think god or Jesus or anyone else would JUDGE you- there are enough people in the world that does that for you)

Then there was issue of race, and in some areas it is still an issue.  There are now interracial marriages, and people with so many mixes in them that it really doesn't matter but it all took time to accept in this world.

I think that the marriage option for g**s and lesbians is just another "pioneer" in a sense as these other things as well as w omens rights etc.

My view is, that everyone just needs to realize we are here once, and have to live the life the best we can, and make ourselves happy, helpful and enjoy it.  Stop focusing on everyone else if it is something you don't like, and look at your self and your life.  (I bet there is something someone doesn't like about you and would like to judge you on as well) No one is perfect, we are all here just trying to make sense of what we are and what we have and make the life we need, want and deserve.

    Sorry for rambling.

  14. im for it.

love is love and people shouldnt have to change who they are just to suit others, let them be, love is the same no matter who it is.

but its true, they werent born like that, as they grow they find that their personal preference is for the same s*x, and there is nothing wrong with that.

  15. I'm 100% for it.  g*y people are just like us.  They aren't bothering anyone by being in same s*x relationships, they're just being WHO THEY ARE.  Better to come out of the closet then to live a life of lies and misery.  People who are against it are just ignorant and if they can't deal looking at two guys holding hands walking down the street then they seriously need to grow up.

  16. I'm in fact against it. The misconception that ppl have is that they are "born that way." Actually, it is a choice that ppl make without even knowing it. I like how my pastor says it, "If you feel you were born g*y, just get born again through Christ!"

  17. I'm not against it, i personally think that everyone deserves happiness in their life and its not everyones business how their happiness is recieved. I am a very spiritual person therefore i try my hardest not to judge people (notice i say try, because i am aware that i am human and make mistakes)

I personally would just hate it if someone were to discriminate against me marrying the person i love, so i feel that i shouldnt do unto others what i wouldnt want done to me.

  18. i agree with mark's wifey

"The Bible speaks against it, but I don't judge.

    Only God can judge... "

all the people saying they're against it are getting thumb downs!!?!!

    and u say:

"When people are against it, I think they're being close-minded and selfish.."

    we have our beliefs

and u should respect them as we respect urs

you ask us or our opinion:

"Are you for or against same s*x marriage?"

and then u tell us were wrong!?!

  19. I'm All For it My Brother is g*y.

And If God hates All g*y Ppl But He like created everyone Why would he create g*y Ppl?

Idc What The Bible Says The Bible is like a Billion Years Old Lots Of Stuff Has Changed. (If The bible is even real)

  20. I believe in god but I don't judge other people. I don't have the right to tell people what they can and can't do. I don't think they are born that way either!

  21. I completely agree with you.  I think that people are born g*y or bisexual and should be able to live their lives according to how they are born.  I think that we, as a society, are way too judgmental.  I am also not g*y myself, but would happily join a rally or write a letter to Congress in support of same s*x marriage.  I get tired of hearing that "God" would not accept it.  "God" is an excuse for prejudice.

  22. The people who are against it are ignorant.

I'm for it because everyone should have the option of marrying whomever they please. Other people should not decide that for you.

  23. I think the government should get out of the marriage business and allow people to marry using whatever civil contracts they choose to compose themselves or get from their church.

Family law is a disaster. Let's just get the government out of it as much as possible, and reduce taxes.

  24. im a christian and im not against. they should be able to get married.

    EDIT:

these people who are saying God is totally against g**s and hates them and all that have obviously never read a Bible. God loves you no matter what... even if your g*y. and every sin is equal in his eyes. you swearing is the same amount of sin as g*y getting married. jeezz.. and i think that g**s are born that way. why would someone choose to be g*y in the world we live in. they get so ridiculed! would you choose that?

  25. well i think personally that its sad if you have a son/daughter that is g*y.  i would be devestated.

but other than that, i consider myself pretty neutral.  i try not to discriminate, but i am not for it all the way.

whatever they wanna do, why do i care?  its not my life.

    have fun♥

  26. not for it and not against. it doesn't bother me and thats all there is to it. if  two people of the same s*x wants to get married.. then go ahead.

awkward scientific thinking upon my self.. it could just be mother nature stepping in to regulate the human population a little. possibly the same thing with diseases and other things.

  27. I'm for.

there is no real evidence that supports that g*y shouldn't get married

religion is the only card but hey that don't hold water to anything

also to the girl you mad it. being atracted to another gender is not a chioce its something you can't control and there are g*y that belive in jesus and in the republic( irony)

  28. People keep saying that God is anti g**s, but he's not.

He loves everyone equally, and as such, he has given us all a different challenge in our life.

People born without a limb, Someone whos mother died as a young child, a g*y person.

God does not hate g**s, he loves them as much as anyone, but he calls them to live a life of chastity.  I like a lot of g*y people, but I can't support them getting married because I can't support them having intercourse.

I understand its a struggle, but we all have challenges.  They need to accept their orientation as theirs.

If my son or daughter were g*y?  Of course I would love them, but I would not support them if they were in a sexual relationship with a person of the same s*x.

  29. I'm for it.

There are far more healthy and functional same-s*x relationships than there are hetero relationships. That and the divorce rate would go down.

Why should two loving people be denied a basic human right? Because of some out of date book?

Even if that's what you believe, it's a democracy, not a theocracy. If you want a theocracy, move to the Middle East.

  30. I myself used to think I was a L*****n, but in my own situation, it turned out to be just a curious phase. I am not a judgemental person and am for the rights of g**s, but I feel that marriage is between one man and one woman. If same s*x partners want to join, it should be called a domestic partnership, but not marriage!

  31. Honestly, it does not affect me in any way, so why would I care if same s*x couples get married? I don't see any reasons why they shouldn't be able to show their committment and have the celebration that straight people do.

Why don't people understand that not everybody thinks God created us all, and that there is an enormous possibility that they are wrong in their assumptions? I don't think God should come into it at all, religion isn't relevant to laws etc when everybody has different beliefs
