The theory regarding our root is quite puzzling....Some scientists claimed that we were from ape and through evolution we became human....however, from the religious aspect...we were told that humans were from Adam and Eve....So what do you think???? What about the dinosaurs?? Aliens???

  1. Two problems with this.  first, there is NOT one archaeologist/research scientist that ever said we decended from apes.  that is complete media folklore.  archaeologists believe that we have a common ancestor as apes.  it's like distant cousins.  for example, if YOUR counsin was never born, would you still be here?  the answer is yes because your counsin is a common ancestor, but not in your direct gene pool of existence.  We would still be here if apes had never existed.  Second, the Vatican DOES believe in evolution in a form.  However, the difference is that they believe that evolution existed through the guidence and supervision of GOD.  he is the "cosmic carpenter" in a sense.  the only thing that matters is which of those two YOU personally believe.

  2. I am Apeman, Eve is from h**l along with my broom flying EX

  3. we are from 'apelike' creatures, not the same as the apes and monkeys that are around now...but related. i feel this way because it makes sense, and there is some proof... where as the old adam and eve story never has...though there are still questions and the missing link, but i feel that THAT proof in itself is more sturdy and correct that a book written by men that contradicts itself...i do not begrudge anyone the story of adam and eve. but it just couldn't have happened that way...cause there were more people on earth at the time of adam and eve...there had to be, cause cain married and had children with some of um...where did they come from? if 'God' made them, it would have said so...if adam and eve made them all...that seems even sillier...but the bible would have said so...but it doesn't...there were humans in other lands already, they must have come from the apes or aliens or something...? that's why i believe we evolved, just like everything else...there is proof of many other creatures evolution, if they evolved in such a way, it is safe to say we also did...we are animals after all....we shouldn't put ourselves on pedestals like we do...we were created the same way as the rest of the universe. evolution, time, circumstance.

  4. First get your facts straight.  Scientists do not claim we are descended from apes.  Apes and man have a common ancestor.  I am a Christian and have no problem with evolution.  God works in mysterious ways.  Who's to say Adam and Eve were not the first actual humans?  A blink of God's eye could be a hundred million years to us.  Yes there were dinosaurs.  We have their fossils.  No we have not had any aliens here yet and probably won't.  If there is intelligent life in another galaxy we will never know and they won't know about us.  The distances are to great.  It would take thousands of years to travel to another galaxy.

  5. The religious aspect..Adam and Eve.....like the religious aspect is automatically Christian right?  Some religions believe we came from volcanoes, others from a rainbow, some from the ground.....some from the sea....I'm just glad I'm here now among all the aliens and dinosaurs. Open it up...............

  6. The theory of evolution is not a theory any longer.  Even the Vatican has announced acceptance of evolution.  Evidence is evidence.  People haven't put all the pieces of the puzzle together, yet.  But, with discoveries in genetics and new technology, more of our rise as a species is becoming clearer every day.

  7. I'm a descendant of "mitochondrial Eve."

I expect the dinosaurs and the aliens, however, aren't descended from Adam and Eve or apes.

  8. i am from a clean enity, and i broguth my friends with me

  9. It's only puzzling if you don't look at the theory and the evidence.  The human evolutionary line, while full of holes, is still pretty convincing.  I also like the beauty of evolutionary theory.  It's kinda comforting knowing that we're a part of everything on Earth, and that we're not an inbred group led by a vengeful, wrathful, and kinda just plain mean God.  Heh, maybe that just shows my religious preferences.

Dinosaurs fit perfectly into the evolutionary model, which, by the way, is well backed-up by every other branch of science that touches on it.  If you want to reject evolution, you'd better be prepared to reject any medicine above the level of leeches, geology, chemistry, and all sorts of things.

Aliens: now there's an interesting question.  Not in a 2001: A Space Odyssey kinda way, though.  There are some theories that suggest that the very earliest life on Earth actually came from outer space.  That would makes us _all_ aliens, from the amoebas on up to us and the dolphins.  Human DNA fits really, really well into the overall DNA picture here, with us sharing over 98% of our DNA with chimps, and more or less with other species, so us humans can't be the only aliens.

  10. I came from my mom and dad!

  11. I believe that we are descendants of Adam and Eve.  It takes much more faith to believe that we came from nothing and somehow evolved into what we are now.  As for the dinosaurs, I believe they were killed in the great flood (Noah's Ark...).   Hmm.. aliens... I don't know.

  12. i believe i am a decendent of adam and eve.

Ive heard the theory of evolution but im not convinced.

I also do believe that there are other being in this universe.. its not possible that in the whole galaxy,, universe SPACE.. we are the only ones with life..

  13. Said it before - 'll say it again...

Any line of thinking that begins, "you are evil because your ancestors sinned" is to be avoided at all costs.

  14. The evidence is pretty obvious to someone who has spent a little bit of time studying the issue IMO.  We are last in a line of bipedal apes.  The genetic as well as physical differences are so slight between humans and our closest relatives (chimps and bonobos) that it becomes absurd not to see the family resemblances.

  15. OK You have been corrected on your misunderstanding regarding evolution.

As for me, I go with Ambivale, except that I would have to trace my origin back to the equivalent Y chromosome of the Mitochondrial Eve and call him the original “Y” ancestor. I’m sure somebody smart has provided a better name than I did.

I believe the individuals who violently oppose the proven concept of evolution are religious fundies. These people are not exactly known for…understanding and knowledge. I guess you have to decide whether to adopt the ruminations of the uninformed or to go with established science.

Can science be wrong? Yes, and it often is BUT, science has the machine and ability to discover it’s misconceptions and correct them by using the scientific method. This method is forbidden by the church, an organization which protects its misconceptions with the threat of death to those who would question.

For my money, anybody with a brain needs to steer clear of that church thingy.

Oh! Almost forgot. There are aliens: members of the Republican hierarchy are all descended from aliens but these aliens arrived damaged from their long trip from the next galaxy and their brains did not fully recover.  We, at NASA worked for years to recover their active brain and our best science failed so, they were made into Republicans. We never intended to allow them to enter politics!

  16. Maybe the Apes were called "Adam" and "Eve". ;-)

  17. i am a product of human evolution.

  18. If you take the time to read the Bible you will find one of the best descriptions of human evolution I have ever read.  That is the story of Adam and Eve.  In the beginning they were simple and without knowledge.  They did not have the ability to tell good from evil, right from wrong.  They were like children.

If you are 5 years old and your parents have told you not to do something, especially something you really wanted to do anyway and then another adult told you that it was alright to do it, would you do it?  Yes you would, and remember, the serpent at this time was not a snake, he was more subtile then any beast in the field.  It was not until God cursed him the serpent above all animals of the field and forced him to crawl upon his belly.

It is generally thought that God then cursed woman and man, but if you read what happened you realize that the curse is that now the same things that happened before will still happen, but now they will realize, or now the are smart enough to understand the consequences of learning and thier actions.  Then read Genesis 3:22 "And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever:  Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.  So he drove out the man; and he placed athe the east of the gardenof Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.

What did the serpent tell Eve she would become if she eat the fruit of the tree? "Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then yoru eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil."

Some say this was the original sin.

You can read a similar, and older story in Gilgamesh.

To me the most interesting parts of the Bible are Genesis 6:1-5, where Jesus tells the Disciples "If ye have faith, and doubt not,....all things, whatsoever ye ask in prayer, beleiving, ye shall receive." (Matt. 21:21-22) and that the Tree of Life returns in the last chapter of Revelation.

My faith in the Lord, the Creator of all things, and His Son Jesus, the Christ, does not stop me from trying to use the gift purchused with the sorrows of Adam and Eve and all of my Ancestors.  The process of evolution seems to work in farming and other fields, even in computer programs.  The theory of human evolution will always be a theory.  When we find something better to replace it we will, but don't ask me to deny the gift God gave us.  After all as He said we are like one them.
