I grew up in the 60's and 70's, I wouldn't change it for anything. The music, the culture, the mind set,.today everything is savage, every man for himself. Such ugliness, and hatred today, I'm sorry my children have to experience what our society has become.

  1. I grew up in the 1970s and 1980s... I'm very glad I grew up in that era.

I learned to appreciate what i had. Not everything was readily available then so I understood the value of things.

Friendship and other free things were treasured.

No need for me to drone on.

The short and sweet answer to your question... yes.

  2. Yeah I envy you.

  3. Not at all. My generation (the children born in the 80's + 90s) are perhaps the stupidest, most ignorant, barbarous group of people I've ever had the displeasure to come into contact with.

EDIT: oh, I forgot to mention how superficial they all are! Silly me.

  4. I envy you, but honestly my childhood was in the late 80's and 90's. I loved my era. It wasn't so crude as today although it wasn't as laid back as your era. See, back when I was younger, there was alot less city (in the areas I lived in) and there was just more. That's all I can say is more. Today, honestly, these kids are looking more and more like p**n-stars in training. They're just doing way too much way too young. I feel bad for them because they don't have REAL childhoods. They grow up fast and stay that way. Then later on they want to go back to childhood and they can't. Then that leads to more rebellion. It's just a vicious cycle. I LOVED my era. We weren't too grown up and I watched Saturday morning cartoons. I played with Barbie (before she went "hoochie"). I played in the mud. I wore clothes that covered my body. I didn't wear a bra untill I absolutely HAD to. I only played with make-up and didn't take it seriously. I thought boys had coodies. I mean, kids don't have that today. At all. And it makes me not want to have kids and raise them in this atmosphere.

  5. yeah i would have rather grown up in like...the 1880s...just cause life was simple..sure woman didnt get the right respect and if you got a flew you basically died! but...i dont know:S.. i think it would be better.. and if i got abbused id defend myself so yeah.

  6. depends what race you are.

i'm sure blacks hated the 60's.

  7. The 60s and 70s had their bad things as well.  There is a show on currently about all the 70s wife-swapping.  You had all the free love of the 60s and the onslaught of AIDS.  Life is what you make of it and what you allow in.  I grew up in the 60s and 70s and their music was okay, but I like a lot of today's music.  Not every one is for themselves.  There is less hatred today than the 60s and 70s.  Guess it all depends on where you live.
