Jesus doesn't want you to go:

Matthew 6:5 “And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full.”

  1. Jesus doesn't want me to go?  I am there

You may have found one way to get atheists to do your bidding

  2. I'm not in school, so See You at the Pole is out of the question.  You must be young.

Anyway, it's pretty clear from the verse you quoted that Jesus was referring to people who prayed in public ONLY to be seen.  Is that the purpose of SYATP?  Maybe.  Maybe not.

  3. wrong interpretation

Its not saying you can not pray in public

Its saying to not pray as the hypocrites do.

Their desire is to be seen and heard of people so they can be seen to be holy.

God did not forbid group prayer

Act 1:14  These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.

Mat 18:19  Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.

Mat 18:20  For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

  4. Acts 2:42 "They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer."

  5. No, it is too cold at the Poles.

  6. Jesus does want us to go...just like He wants us to pray in churches...The prayers are for school children and staff.
