Are you going to do Earth Hour? If you don't know what it is it's where everyone turns their lights off for one hour on March 29th at 8 PM (your time). It is suppose to raise awareness for climate change and how much energy we use. Many people around the world will be apart of this... are you one of them?

  1. Yes, I just signed up. Thanks for the web addy.  DH and I are starting to "go green", and have changed all our lightlbulbs to the compact flourescent, I save water by washing dishes and not using the dishwasher. I hang my laundry to dry, instead of wasting electricity by using the dryer, except for towels and sox--I hate stiff sox and scratchy towels! We take military showers, and I unplug all appliances except stove and fridge to save on elecxtricity. Our water and elec. bill was $100. a month, so now we are cutting back to save money, too. I'm planning to make a couple of rain barrels to catch rain water for watering my garden this summer. You can get directions by googling "rain barrels" online. Do you know that toasters, coffee makers, microwaves, and computers draw electricity even when turned off? Unplugging them saves electricity and money, when they aren't in use.

  2. there's like 10,000 things like that. There's one that's tomorrow for 5 minutes, so that the earth can "breath". what bull.

  3. No.  I'll do something that matters instead.

  4. have them turn off their laptops instead. That way those of us, who just want to be left alone, can be.

  5. Sure thing. I think it will be interesting to see the results.

  6. I honestly would if i thought is was going to do some real good.

I've herd about it and I'm still thinking about it.

It's really nice that so many people truly care and weather it helps or not it's still going to show that we want to help and were willing, so i most likely will.

I'm very glad you asked this question.

    :]

  7. With such disgust I say, I shall most asurdely have my coordinates fire up my proton cannons and disperse rays evenly throughout the cities.  Thence perhaps cleanliness will prevail.  (and thank ye all  ahead of time for the abundance of polluting energy that ye have so eagerly provided.)

  8. Maybe. I will turn off my lights and save some energy. Good Luck with this.

  9. you bet! though realistically it's not gonna do a d**n bit of good. For every one person that does this, 100 will use even more power than usual.

the battle to end climate change simply isn't going to be won this way
