Are you going to miss Justine Henin or are you glad she's retiring from tennis?

Personally, I'm going to miss her because she is one of the most talented players I've ever seen, especially on the backhand side. I'm constantly amazed at how a petite, 5'5 woman can dominate in this age of huge, powerful players (she's 1700 points ahead of Sharapova at no. 2) which is a testament to her talent and work ethic. The other players certainly won't miss her and I'm surprised she's retiring without a Wimbledon title.

I'm very divided on her retirement.  On the one hand, she was a solid player who through sheer grit and talent was able to keep winning and remained at the top.  On the other hand, she had such a careless attitute towards tennis, that I had a hard time respecting her when she played.  She would play when she felt like it and now quit because she no longer wanted to play.  It's great that she has achieved so much, but I have a hard time putting her in the "all-time" greats company.

25 can be considered old in the Tennis world.  The really good ones have been playing pro tennis since 14,15 & 16 yrs of age.  that would make her a 10+ yr vet.  Maybe she wants time to have a family..She may be pregnant already.  I wish her the best..

I am actually going to miss her, because of her talent, consistency and the many rivalries she brewed while being on top, particularly with Serena and Mauresmo. She is one of the best tennis images in terms of technique, attitude, drive, dedication and of course her backhand. This yr wasn't as good as she wanted, or maybe her mind was beginning to drift from tennis due to personal circumstances. Whatever her reasons are, she was a top player, and she will be missed not only by her fans, but I'm sure the tennis players themselves would miss her. The rivalries i tell you, great to watch.

Yes, I will miss her.  Because she is one of the top rank player and she is short (because I am like this kind too).  She shouldn't make this decision, it made her fans sad.

I will certainly miss her. Justin Henin is the ultimate prffessional who recieves media attention only for her tennis qualities and charity work. She has had personal problems yet has consistantly for the last seven years played with, heart, passion, determination, and craft. Without a doubt she has raised the bar of womens tennis and has hammered the glamour girls like the WIlliams sisters, Sharapova and Ivanovic.

I was shock to know that Justine has officially permanently retire from professional tennis. I am not a Justine fan, but I am certainly going to miss Justine a lot. She will be remembered as one of the all-time great champions in women's tennis, she is a true champion. She should have at least wait until the end of the year until she retires. I don't know what problems she is going through but I don't think she's retiring just because of a few losses this year. Well, I wish the very best for Justine for her future.

Absolutely. She was a phenomenal player who had tremendous variety. She was also the toughest competitor out there. She managed to win 7 Slams and end the year at #1 three times against players much larger than herself. As well as her artistry she had great athleticism and  amazing firepower for her size. At 5'5", she was smaller than Martina Hingis but could hit the ball much faster.

If she feels ready to say goodbye to tennis and move on to the next chapter of her life, I wish her good luck. But the tennis world will miss her greatly.

i will miss her. i don't think there will be another player so consistent in winning titles and slams any time soon. whatever you might think of her,and it would be justified,she was nothing if not a ruthless competitor. and that is something i have alway respected about her. apart from her stunning slam wins...for me it will always be the amazing matches themselves that will forever be engrained into my memory. she was a tough cookie-she could be incredibly intimidating and for her stature,that will forever be a rarity and a true testament to her determination and immaculate skill.

without a wimbledon title, she retired. i will miss her. my favorite player. now tennis will be rules by serena and venus again, unless sharapova doesn't get back with her serve as she used to be. go sharapova. without justine, tennis is nothing. same with agassi, without him since he retired, we only have one guy to root for or for nadal or federer, but i am a federer/sharapova fan.

Will miss her so much. Her game was so differant to the other top players who are all baseline power players. Her game was a joy to watch and we wont see another champion like her for a long time!
