Are you gonna be on Ocean all the time when you go on a cruise?

or do they stop so you can walk around in the city..don't you get bored all the time on ocean for a week?

usually they don't stop on land

Depends on the cruise.  Most cruises have ports of call that they stop at.  You should be able to check at the cruise liners website as to what ports the ship stops at.

Most cruises definitly stop at some point, I've been on several cruises and they have all stopped, I've done Alaska, Greece, Virgin Islands, Bahamas, and Tahitian cruises and they all had stops where you got off and could do certain things like dog sledding or volcano hikes or shopping or walking around villages etc..

But, if it is an ocean-only cruise its not like you'll get bored there's gambling (even if your 18) tons of food ALL the time, swimming and what not, dances/balls and black-tie affairs and usually lounge acts like musicians and magicians and stuff and also usually kids activities to get family's some alone time, kids by themselves for a few hours and parents a break..
