  1. yes wow

  2. I usually say something totally off-the-wall.  I've got nothing to lose.  Not out to impress anyone.  I'm 54 years old.  Got what I need, lost what I didn't.  So, I put myself out there.  My warped sense of humor usually works on shy individuals.

  3. Yeah, I am. Because I know what its like, so its easier for me to just talk to them.

  4. Yes. All you need to do is relate with them. Think of something funny like a joke. If they laugh they are staring to ease up. and become more comfortable. Shy people just don't feel comfortable and need a little something to get them into the party.

  5. yeah sometimes

  6. I am in my element when I am talking to shy people. I'm shy, myself. I know more about certain antisocial people than most anyone else.

  7. Good question. I wish I knew the answer because I'm very shy and quiet around people.

  8. Sometimes I am. I try to be somewhat lively around the quiet types, but not too much to the point that they think I'm a psycho or something. The key thing is to just show yourself friendly toward them. Be open with them, getting to know them and sharing things about yourself too. It's also important to not "push" them to be open: let them open up when they are ready. That usually works best for me!
