Hi. My husband and I just adopted two precious kittens from a local shelter. They are both short-haired, male, and 2 months old. The black one is thin and sleek; he's very brave and friendly. The grey one is fluffier; he's ever-so-slightly more timid and he meows a lot. (A lot.)
They came with names from the shelter; currently the black one is called "George" and the grey one is called "Fiat." We were planning to change both their names; I've always thought Calculus (or Cal for short) would make a darling name for a male cat. The only problem is, "George" has really begun to suit the black kitty. Since "George and Calculus" make an odd pair, we aren't sure if we should keep "George" and name the grey kitty a name that goes with it or if we should change both their names. I can't think of any cute names that could go with "Calculus."
Please suggest ideas for each of the following options and say which option you like best:
1. George and ___________(the grey kitten)
2. Calculus and ______________
3. Your own suggestion: ______________ and _____________
I most likely want to give them people names or silly names that can be shortened to people names (like how Calculus shortens to Cal). I tend to like longish literary, mythological, Roman, or biblical names -- we've been considering ideas like Elias, Tobias, Bartholo"mew", Atticus, Lysander, Demetrius, and such.
Thanks for your help!
