I spend almost $200 on gas per month (with the high prices). And now i`m seriously looking for a smaller car. I wonder how many people in reality are in a similar situation?

  1. Many people are ditching their guzzlers.  The market value for SUVs and vans has dropped into the cellar.  Both new and used. Any car dealer will tell you that.  Gas prices will only continue to rise even if we drill like crazy.  The devaluation of the dollar is likely to get worse too.  In 15 years I fearlessly predict that the roads will be crawling with scooters and hybrids.

  2. Nah. We just complain like most people who have SUVs. lol.

  3. Don't buy another car! Just run your car with water.

you'll save about $100-130 a month. So basically you only pay $70-$100 a month and a free liter of water.

  4. owe too much on my truck to trade it in and how much firewood can i get home in a prius . i try to  keep my  gas use to one tank a week.

  5. I still tote around in my SUV. It's paid off and its beats the h**l out of having a car payment no matter the cost of gas.  I dont drive that far for work either.  Our boat, that on the other had sucks.  It costs 500 on a weekend the run that.

  6. Forget about buying a small car. Im planning to buy a scooter buddy. I spend close to $400.00 on gas a month. Plus $200 insurance. With scooter gas expense $150. a month and Insurance $60 a month. Difference $390.00

A smaller car is not that difference. Scooter costs $2300.00 canadian

  7. I know people that have done that.  With the cost of gas prices these days, I'd guess a lot of people are in that situation.
