  1. Tiger is never going to "make a stand".  He earns way too much money from AmEx, Nike, etc to do that.  No matter what he says politically, he would alienate thousands of people.  Tiger is smarter than that.  He is an athlete. His concern is playing golf well.  That having been said, I'm happy for him I guess.  He is doing stuff that you and I will not see again in our lifetimes.  The dude is phenomenal, like him or not.

  2. Why would i be happy for him? What did he recently do that would make someone else feel happy for him?

  3. I suppose depending on what you mean.  I enjoy watching him destroy a field of professional golfers.  I enjoy the skill of what he does and try to emulate or at least learn how to do it to my level of ability.  I hope he breaks every record there is to break before his career is over.  I am proud of his accomplishments off the course with his foundation.  It's a shame that people expect too much of him and not allow him to be who he is.

To mlb:  He does not endorse American Express anymore.

  4. I am happy for him that he sets goals for himself and he relies on no one but himself to achieve them. I am happy for him that had someone in his life who brought a passion to his life that has afforded him lifestyle most of us can only dream about. I am happy for him that he has found love as a man and had a child that he loves dearly.

I am happy he doesn’t make an issue of race. He plays golf to the best of his ability and never settles for just whatever happens. You don’t hear about him creating all kinds of gossip like many young celebrities and athletes of today and that makes me happy.

Does that make me happy for him?

  5. He's a once-in-a-lifetime person/golfer.  It may be decades upon decades before we see someone like him again.

Don't hate him for not "taking a stand" on race issues.  He acknowledges his whole background, not just one aspect of it.  He's never been one to enter that realm, no matter how much he's pressured.  He has his own life and his own causes (the Tiger Woods Learning Center, for one.)

As a fan, I feel fortunate that even given all the competition on tour, we're seeing a complete wizard that maybe our grandkids might not be fortunate enough to witness something comparable.

  6. I think he is amazing. I catch h**l playing mini golf---that d**n windmill-------------------------

  7. I'm happy for him. He seems like such a nice young man and works hard for what he gets, so he deserves happiness.

  8. I like Tiger and love seeing him dominate the Tour...When he's in the field, I don't miss a tournament.  People don't really realize that we're watching history being made every time he tees it up.  I hope he breaks all of Jack's records and goes down as the best ever, which I think he will.  There won't be another like him for a long time and he's actually playing as well if not better than he ever has right now.  ENJOY!  Don't Hate!!

  9. I can't say that I am a big FAN of his as he seems pretty self absorbed, but as a golfer and fan of the game I feel pretty lucky to be watching what he is doing.  I got to watch Nicklaus and Palmer in their primes and Tiger is blowing them away.

  10. Happy for what?

  11. Tiger is another who has to endure the weight of his Race!!He has made people of color proud for accomplishing  what he has in a definitely all White sport. His inter-Racial background is almost as exciting as Obamas.Just goes to show, if you give people of color, a chance to participate they can do great things. Some golf writer stated to stop Tiger they should take out and lynch him!!!Sound familiar!!He needs to make a stand!!Hate him for not standing up for himself.
