My name is Rebecca Erin Kost (pernounced like Coast) and yes, I am happy with the birth name I was given. I know there are cooler name that I may like better, but I can just name my kids those. Rebecca isn't that incredibly popular, so I'm glad i wasn't named "Katie" or "Rachel".

I think my Mom named me. If I was a boy I would have been named Adam, which i think is a pretty good name...

Well I have a very unique name so I like it but i hate when people mispronounce my name ,it's Lucritia but I have always gone by Critia sounds like Krisha and My dad thought of the name because it's my mom's middle name

I'm content with my name now. My mom named me Venessa, but with the "e" instead of the "a". She wanted me to be different. I used to despise my name when I was a kid, I wanted to be named Casey, I dunno why.

It's ok now, except a problem i'm always gonna have is people misspelling my name when it comes to important paperwork. I always have a hard time with that....grrr...

My Mom gave us all names that could be deemed "unusual"

Out of my brother ans sisters, my name was the only one without a story.

I was born:

Porsha Rose Mayfield

But when i was 6 months old my Mom re-named me:

Porsha Lois Mayfield.

After Lois Lane.

I think i got out lucky, my two sisters are called:

Persephone Delilah

Peachie Marilyn

and my brother is called:

Paris Shae

My sister inherited my Mom's taste for "unusual" names, which has made her children resentful.

My middle name is beautiful, but my first name, "Roger," is easy to deform into something sarcastic or snide. So I keep my middle name for myself and don't use it and rarely tell people what it is. When I go to heaven, though, I'm going to start. Everyone there will know by that name.

I am very happy with my Birthname even with all of the nicknames that come with it should as Farah, Bara etc or my mum's personal favourtie, lalalabat.

Both of my parent decided on the name as Lara was one of the characters' name in the book that brought them together.

I used to hate my name so much i would get people to call me something else. But now i kinda like it. Im not crazy about my middle name, but it has a meaning.

My name is Kelsey Margaret. My mom named me because she loved the name and my middle name is my great grandma's name. My dad wanted my middle name to be Renee because that was his sisters middle name, and i would have preferred that, but im not about to go and change my names.

I absolutely love my name-- it's Martha Kathleen.  It's old-fashioned and lovely.  Plus, I never have to worry about being in a class with 3 or 4 other Martha's, unlike if my name were Ashley or Madison or Bailey or something.

Rebecca Haf (Haf is welsh for Summer...Funny as I was born in the autumn!).

I love my name-always have. My parents chose it together-the Rebecca part anyway. The both wrote a list of 10 girls names they liked and Rebecca was the only one they agreed on! My Dad wanted to give me a welsh middle name so chose Haf. I don't know why...I never have asked!

My parents decided my sibilings and I should have names from our family tree.  I am Carman, my sister is Carrie, and my brother is Jacob.  I didn't like my name as a child... I wanted to have a "normal name" like Carrie or Jacob.  Now that I am older, I love that I know no-one with a name quite like mine (spelled the same) and I am usually the only Carman/Carmen that any of my friends know, so I need no clarifiers!

My name is Adrianna Faye Johannson. I like it, as my middle name breaks them down.

My dad named me Adrianna, after his dad, Adrian. Faye was my mum's choice, but i like it, though it is quite plain.

But overall, i like my name, i never used to. I was the only Adrianna, as I live in England, and it isnt as popular here, as it is in America.

No, it's far too unusual for my liking. Both my parents named me but mostly my Dad's contribution. He's always been eccentric and it shows in my name lol. I think most people don't like part of their name just because it's theirs but meh, I gotta live with it. It's not that bad really. XD

I hate the name Amy... But I love how my Mum spelt it Aimi so its ok.

My Grandma choose my name, while I was being born as my Mum wanted me to be called Kiera and my dad did not like it.

Faye, hate it as a name, but love the fact it is my Grans middle name of which she got from her godparents surname - that’s why it is Fay without a 'e'

All in all, its ok, but I still prefer my mums 'Kiera Fay' idea.

If I was a boy I was to be Jack.. Just Jack. Lol I love that too.

My dad named me it. My mum wanted to call me Amie or Cherie.

NO!!!! I am not happy with my birth-name at all. I was teased and harrassed as a kid (especially Jr. High) and so wish that my mom never named me "Hope". I like my middle name so much better (Nicole) but... it's too late now.

Parents need to think about how their children will be looked at with these crazy and unique names they are giving their children.

Yes I am. It's not a very common name especially these days but it's not an outlandish one either. My mother gave it to me to keep a promise to a friend. Her friend had been pregnant and was wondering what to call her baby. My mother suggested she give a boy this name after an actor who was famous at the time. The friend agreed on condition that my if my mother ever had a son she would give him the same name. Sadly I never met my namesake as he died in a car accident when he was in his early 20s. I think I was about 15 at the time.

My name is Tiffany. My mom named me. My dad wanted to name me Lisa, but I like Tiffany. It's kind of annoying when people think I'm a snob because of "tiffany & Co." and things like that. My dad used to call me Tiffy but i hated it. Now everyone calls me Tiffy and I love it! I think it's really cute and bubbly. I love the name Jasey, like the song Jasey Rae by All Time Low. Hi yep Im happy as my name was very rare then and also it ryhmes with my nanas name who I didnt meet as she died before I was born but I like my name both my middle and first names too.
