  4. L 7 a weenie.

  5. 512MB of RAM, a 1.73GHz processor and a 5400rpm HDD? Psh, no.

But I did find this HP Pavilion Elite M9360F online yesterday (I nearly wet myself, it looked so appealing): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...

  6. Heck Yes, I am.

  7. Yes, yes I am ^.^

  8. Yes.. cuz i just bought it like 2 months ago.. and its very fast

  9. h**l no!

I want a computer like the ones on Star Trek where you can talk to it and it instantly responds with the answer.

The computer I have isn't bad but the network ticks me off. It is soooo slow! And I have the high speed cable modem with Comcast.

I can't imagine going back to a phone line and a modem.

I remember the first computer I used back in 1980 was an Apple II and had no hard drive but used floppy disks for everything. The biggest program at the time used 12K!!! My watch now has more memory and computing power than that whole computer.

The first computer took up a warehouse an acre large and cost 5 million bucks. Now a 2 dollar calculator has 1000 times the processing power than that whole setup.

In 10 years we will all be looking back and wondering how we dealt with such slow machines.

  10. yes

  11. no

  12. its okay i guess

  13. no, it is kind of slow, and i could get things done much faster if it was faster.

  14. Dual core = do more,,,yup

  15. Not at all.  Vista has royally f*cked my laptop too many times.

  16. no

  17. yes i am

  18. Nope but then again i have like 20 different applications working, and considering my computer is taking it pretty well. So i would stay somewhere in the middle for this question.

  19. NO!  Of course, it is only a $400 laptop, so I'm not too worried about it.  I'm only running a piece of junk because I'm in this stage of life where I don't need something that works. lol

  20. yes the OneCare really does a good job and get Qwest internet WOOOOO!!!!

  21. I guess.

  22. Oh yes :D

  23. specs:

    amd x2 4000

    ati radeon 4850

    2gig 667 ram

    windows xp

Yeah its fine for most things. As far as gaming goes its pretty good. At the moment I can play pretty much whatever I want, but there are times when Id like to tweak up the graphics but cant because some games need like megadollars spent on hardware to run really well.

The only other time Id like it a wee bit faster is when doing video encoding, which can take awhile even with a dual core cpu.

Ive had some good results trimming startups and some excellent results editing services so it  boots and shuts down very fast and desktop responsiveness is excellent. Things were a bit sluggish before this though. Im happy now that its set up right.

I guess computers can always be faster. Most of the time Im pretty happy with mine, but if I won the lottery I could see myself spending more money pretty easily. Mainly for gaming...

  24. couldn't be happier

  25. No. One of the users on my network runs Hamicha 24/7, which requests our IP every two minutes, kicking me off and slowing down my speed. When he finally disables it, my computer's great.

  26. very happy

  27. I'm somewhat happy...it runs slow a couple of times, but it's fine by me.

  28. Yes, but I wish I could afford an even more expensive, faster one...

  29. totally..love Mac

  30. lil bit
