Question:

Are you harder on women who say things that are "anti-woman" or men who say things of this sort?

I honestly feel like I get attacked more for saying things that are "anti-woman" just because I myself am a woman. I know this because a lot of posters have said: you should be ashamed since you're a woman, etc, etc. Whats the point of equality if you are letting someone's s*x influence how you answer a question?

  1. There is no such thing as "anti-woman". Anti-feminist maybe but not anti-woman.

A message to report monkeys: Yahoo has assured me that "the people who reported your question will have less influence when reporting abuse in the future." Be warned.

  2. I am a bit harder on women who benefited from feminism, by going to Universities that may have been all male, like Harvard, before the women's movement in the "70's.  They have close to equal access for entry level jobs, and equal pay for equal work in most jobs, yet they seem to just take it for granted, as if it WAS always that way, and automatically will always be that way without continued vigilance.

.  I benefit from their work and I am grateful and proud, but others benefit and don't seem to realize that laws and policies can change back, if you don't watch your freedoms.

Then I also know that many of the female anti-women posters are really men.  At that point it all becomes rather meaningless.

  3. i tend to get madder at women who say they are not for things like women's rights, but i get more insulted when men say it. I would much rather have a discussion with a woman about it than a man, just because they go through it but chose a different opinion instead of a man who can't really relate as much. I have friends that are girls that don't think women should vote, but i don't think i would be friends with a man that says those things.  It is sexist but that is just how i feel. it also depends on what you mean by "anti-woman". Do you not believe they should exist, like anti-guns or something, or do you just agree with certain stereotypes.

anyway I'm tired of writing now, good luck with being sexist, honestly what did you expect?

  4. Honestly I tend to think most are trolls.  I am sure there are a few exceptions, but I just tend to treat all as trolls.  I am not sure is this is a good thing or a bad thing.  Every once in a while I will call someone out (either feminist or anti) if I think they are being truthful about their beliefs.

  5. Not everyone bases all their bhavior and reactions on the s*x of the person they're dealing with.

I'm harder on people who say hateful, or clearly absurd things.

One does wonder at the self-hate that would make someone diss themselves; and then extend that to everyone else of their s*x.

  6. I'm guessing that women are harder on the guys.  To the point of harrassment, deleting their questions and trying to get their accounts deleted.  It's not anti-woman, it's anti-misandrist.

  7. I agree sister. However, women are always harder on men, regardless of situation. They get on you to remove themselves or uproot themselves away from that context, as in to create a dissension between them and you-- as women do regularly when discussing prostitutes or gold diggers or any other group of women stigmatized across a society.  Then when this doesn't work, or if a woman after being pressed on the issue has categorically removed themselves from an unreasonable or illogical # of groups of women, what's the only big bang defense she has left?-- gender.

Now the issue becomes a " Men always do this type thing." "It's because I'm a woman, isn't it?"

  8. Just say what needs to be said; I've been accused of being anti-woman more than once for my views.  Well, then so be it; I know who and what I am, that's all that matters. I don't fancy myself having some foolish debate over my own gender; it's totally meaningless.  Like I said I know and that's enough for me.  I'm female and very anti-feminist.  I also believe that we are who we are; through deeper meanings and strengths within our selves, that no matter what label we attach to ourselves; it's not going to change and or strengthen what goes on in the core of ourselves. That has to come from us. I have no idea what something like that is called, but that's the way it is.

  9. well, in honor of true equality, it really shouldn't matter who says it.

But I see where you are coming from with this... if I had a dime for every time I have read a guy attack another guy on GWS for being for feminism... goes both ways, it always does, thus my point.

  10. I must be dense today, but I'm not quite sure if I understand the question. If I get this wrong (won't be the first time), I apologize.

Are you asking if I am more judgmental towards the men or other women who display misogynist leanings? If that's the question, then my response is: "No, I don't think so".

Our s*x should not influence a persons answer, but it often does, whether consciously or unconsciously. Doesn't mean that it's done with evil intent though.

    Best wishes. :o)

  11. I have never heard of anti-woman,but most women are anti-men,most of them say that a baby boy should be killed just for being a boy or that men shouldn't be nurses or babysitter or teacher just because we're men.

    it's just pathetic!

  12. dont worry about those people...

they are just bitter feminists or men who have be brainwashed by feminists in their lives.

  13. I got a thumbs down for just describing myself in question that was asking people to describe themselves.

The women here are hard on everyone for anything.
