  1. Our wedding is in December.. so we've been planning for Christmas '08 since Christmas '07.

Our wedding is on the 13th, we leave for St. Lucia on the 15th, and we get back on the 21st.  Then it's two days of work, and CHRISTMAS..

So yeah, we've gotta have our Christmas shopping done by,... say... next month :)

  2. We'll just do the same thing we do every Hanukkah: host a dinner with a generic holiday menu, light the candles and say the various prayers each night, and get the occasional present. Very little planning is necessary.

  3. Noooo. We usually don't even plan stuff until about the week before. My family is kind of nutty.

  4. Yay only a few months till xmas!! I do the same thing each year so I don't have to plan. BUt Autumn is such a fun and exciting time. You have halloween, bonfire night, my husbands bday, xmas to look forward to!!

  5. Usually about this time of year I pull out my endless Christmas lists (Christmas cards, baking, schedule, etc.) and start planning. I like to really plan ahead. I haven't started this year yet, though.

  6. The Sears Christmas Wish Book is out, and was delivered to my apartment lobby on August 15.  I still can't believe it.

  7. Yes, I will rent out a big beach house and my 5 brothers and one sister will attend. Since it is so testrone driven, my wife usually visits her sister.

  8. Yup...already started deciding on gifts for everyone and budgeting for it. It's pretty much Christmas year-round!

  9. Not me!  To plan it so far in advance takes the spirit out of it for me.  Yes, December becomes a very busy month, but it makes Christmas a month long event - which I love.  So others can shop and plan and bake to their hearts content throughout the year - but I leave it all for December 1 - and then I have a full month of fun!

  10. I only have one person left on my list to buy for.

  11. It is going to be a difficult Christmas for my family this year, but I will do my best for the sake of the little ones (my grandchildren).  Still, I doubt I will plan much until November.
