Why do so many Chinese selling and trade companies use numbers in their Web-sites?(even though they can pick any other more smooth names that are not registered yet)?

A Chinese trait is possibly to choose #'s because of good luck. Also, the number being said in the Chinese language has a ring to it I think, in my opinion.
