  1. I'm a Canadian but have lived in the US for three years and I'm marrying an American. I'm not really loyal to any country - I find patriotism idiotic, except in sports (where I am a loyal Canadian). I would never lay down my life to defend Canada or America from attack, though I would protect my family and friends if they were threatened. I don't really feel a closer attachment to someone just because I live in the same country as them.

  3. I was born in Norway and am very proud of my heritage and of Norway.  It is a country that has MUCH to be proud of.

    However, I also love the USA and its people.  It has been my home for a very long time and I am very loyal to and proud of the many fine qualities of  the USA! I also speak up whenever I see something wrong with the way the country is going, because I truly care about and am concerned with the well-being of the USA too.

  9. I am an Australian and have no loyalty to my own corrupt government, let alone the USA. My loyalty is to my family and my folk. Why would I have any loyalty for a country that tortures people and fills their gaols to the brim in the name of liberty and democracy?
