  1. Self acceptance by far..and yes it is ok to accept yourself completely as you are, but you can always improve areas of your life that need work.

  2. self acceptance...after all  feeling good about yourself should take priority over what others think of you. It took me until my senior year of highschool to figure that out! and now im a confident person who is not afraid to make mistakes but welcomes mistakes as a learning experience to better myself and be a  better person!

  3. better to accept yourself. If you try for peer acceptance, you will just end up changing yourself, when most people would rather just get to know the real you.

  4. these are not discretely separate concepts. they are fully contingent upon one another. in a perfect scenario, people mirror your own desirable attributes back to you, boosting self esteem. which in turn causes positive responses.

  5. Well I pretty much hate myself, so now all I can do is try to see if my friends like who I am.

  6. Currently I'm more focused on self acceptance and I think that's the most important. If you love yourself you really don't give a F**k wat anyone else has to say about you. You can be accepted by everyone though and hate yourself which is how I'm feeling now. I don't have any enemies and pretty much everyone I meet likes my company but I don't like myself and its more important to me to love myself than to be loved by others although it is still very important to be accepted by others.

  7. I think that I would rather be myself because it's a lot harder to be something I'm not as opossed to being myself. I faced a lot of this when I was younger...one example is me having pink hair...it's partcially just more physical acceptance nowadays, but my grandmother told me that it wasn't redicilous that I had pink hair, and that if she were me, she'd rather be herself rather than feeling bad about wanting to be who she really was... ^^

  8. self acceptance all the way! who cares what others think your friends will leave you eventually anyways so what's the point? you might as well just be yourself and not follow someone else. and no i wouldn't do something to be accepted if they don't like you for who you are s***w them! their loss

  9. self acceptance could be a curse when your standards are too high and unrealistic.

    with me I think its a tie..you know, 50~50

  10. Self acceptance... I need to truly trust myself and accept everything about me because that leads to better judgment on other people.

    Great Question.
