I find that when I see a donation box for starving children I don't feel an urge to donate, but when I see one for animal shelters or something of the sort I cant help but toss some money in.

Am I the only person who feels worse for animals then people? ....

  1. I am more likely to donate to both! Because animals like children did not ask to be brought into this world, neither did the animals, but they both are God's creations, and so yes,I would donate to both equally;a child is a gift from God, and the animals were made by God to be loved and cared for,and humans now days seems to have forgot who them also, maybe they need to walk a mile in those children shoes, and see how they feel going to bed hungry, or feeling what it feels like to locked up in a cage, or neutered without wanting to be, or not fed regularly, or watered regularly,or left in a hot vehicle with the window either not opened or just cracked aliitle. Then I pray for both, for God to protect them.

  2. i think ill give to children's fund because nature intended animals to take care of themselves and animals r capable of taking care of themselves in the wild. however i am very seriously against cruelty to animals and would do anything to help an animal being mistreated by a human. i think ill see what the exact nature of the cause is and decide accordingly

  3. I've never seen an animal on trial for being a serial killer of humans.

  4. It depends.

If it's an overseas children's charity vs. ASPCA or a local animal shelter, you bet I'm more likely to donate to the animal fund. I know of charities like The Humane Society, and I'm more likely to donate to a charity that is for the United States. Charity starts at home.

  5. Um, if it were me, I would say children. Because the animal ones are usually fake just to get money.

  6. seriously you give to animals over children? the mspca (litter boxes and cat food) over (children having chemo and radiation and dying) st judes childrens hospital? yaaaaaaaaaa i cant say i agree with you on that one

  7. Animals, every time.

Besides the fact that I generally like animals more than children, I also figure that most people out there give to things "for the children," so I try to always give to charities that focus on animals and adults (not that I begrudge that help to adults trickling down to kids--I just don't donate to childrens' charities specifically or those that are only for "families" because what they really mean is the kids in those families).

  8. No not really children are angry and malicious and animals are cute and cuddly.

  9. Animals.

Most people donate to the children charities anyways and I love animals, not enough people donate to the animal organizations because they don't think that the animals need that much help.  But I am sure if those people were to watch 2 or 3 episodes of Animal Cops on the Animal Planet, they would change their mind pretty quickly.  I currently volunteer with 4 different animal shelters/rescues and I really think that animals need help just as much if not more than the children charities.

We also don't have 20 Million children being euthanized every year in the U.S.  I understand that there are some terrible situations that children go through, and that those children need a lot of help.  But I much rather donate to an animal organization, my personal choice/opinion.  :)
