  1. To have an even money chance of winning the lottery even if held every day you would have to live more than 19,000 years so I guess this gives you the answer.

  2. well probs die on your wedding day, I know its not real but max in hollyoaks died on his wedding day.

  3. Its sad but its true. The chances of winning the jackpot  is 1 in 13,983,816 or approximately 1 in 14 million. , whereas it is inevitable that you will die at some point..

  4. As much as I'd like to say win the lottery, i think theres more chance of dieing

    :s

  5. Using 1990 census data, assuming the person getting married is 25 years old, the chance of dying on any particular day is about 3 in a million.

The odds of winning the Mega Millions jackpot is 1 in 175 million.  The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot is 1 in 146 million.

What it boils down to is that a person is about 500 times as likely to die on their wedding day as they are to win a lottery jackpot on their wedding day.

  6. State lotteries usually have odds of about 18,000,000 to 1 while multiple state lotteries have odds as high as 120,000,000 to 1.

The average person's odds of dying on their wedding day are 23,741 to 1.

  7. I'm going with die.  Seems like the odds are greater that way.

    Reasons:

    1.  Not completely unheard of  ( I know of a couple stories)

    2.  Presence of alcohol likely

    3.  Distracted due to the festivities

    4.  Likely to travel in a compromised state (tired, etc.)

  8. powerball jackpot probibilities are measured in the millions, peopel at most only live just under 40,000 days

if you were to die on any one day, the odds of that would be at worst 1:40,000 probibly less because of variables such as peopel usually dont get married for the first 20% of their lived days, and the same for the ones after a certain age, so its probibly closer to half of that but this is hypothetical anyways. also we are leaning conservitive here for the sake of argument.

and like i said powerball in the millions so 1 in a series of millions of numbers, the point is 1:40,000 or 20,000 or whatever is no where near close to millions making it....

**more likely for you to die on your wedding day***

  9. If you're g*y and in a state that doesn't allow g*y marriage then you're more likely to win the lottery.

  10. If you take that average death of old age at 80 then that odds of dying on your wedding day are 1 in 29,200 the odds of winning the lottery are 1 in 13,983,816.

So you have a much higher chance of dying on your wedding day than winning the lottery.
