Are you more of an Optimistic or Pessimistic Person?

Question

In another words, do you look at the glass of water half full or half empty? =)

What is your Sun, Moon, Rising, and Mars?

I am a positive and an optimistic person...even though I'm a Sun sign is a Taurus....and Taurus tends to be more pessimistic...but I have strong positive and optimistic influences from my Leo Ascendant and Aquarius Mars.

I would say I am optimistic....most of the time unless I'm POed about something...lol....but generally bubbly and optimistic.

I do however tend to get strong 'gut' feelings that sometimes turns my bubbly optimism into realistic awareness......I dislike negativity and when people try to push negativity on me then my bubbly exterior usually turns into the giant defensive line backer...lol....still trying to fake a smile the whole time though...lol...and still able to laugh and enjoy myself even when others try to ruin it...I don't let others ruin my good time!

I'm a cautious/discerning optimistic.  Aquarius, but I don't put stock in that kind of sign.

What's your mercury? Wow, must be a strong Leo rising.

For me, it depends on the glass........sometimes 1/2 full, sometimes 1/2 empty.

i am mostly optimistic aswell =D but there are times when i feel more pesimistic but i try and keep in perspective as i always know i will come out on top in the end i think this is thanks to my leo mars and aquarius rising.

my bad emotions at times are my sun cancer and scorpio moon, but i would deffinitly say im more of a positive person.

I think the way we learn our lessons also contribute to this because we grow up learning that negative people are no fun, so we focus on the positives and this is how :)

i read that taurus people dont like negative people too!

I feel that it may have more to do with ones experiences and environment. Anyway, I'm a bit odd.

I'm optimistic, incredibly optismistic, but I express it in a negative way. I'll want to go to the botanical gardens, and instead of saying "hey can we go" I'll say "why haven't we gone there for years?" and after the explanation I'll go "well, why don't we go?". I can sound incredibly pessimistic, a trait which I really want to get rid of. It's so whiney! I can tell it comes out a bit on here on my postings, which bugs me. Like now! Then again, I am quirky in that I'll say "is the glass half full or half empty? No, I'd say there's too much glass"

I think people can be optismistic or pessimistic at heart, but my life has been a tiny bit bumpy over the last couple of years so although I'm optismitc, I am wary and can be a bit gloomy about things in reaction. So, anyway, that's my thoughts... I'd say optismism, whilst it may be expressed differently via a chart, I'd say it comes from within ones self, from a good heart.

I'm very optimistic. I always see the glass as half full, and try to look on the bright side. When things don't go well, I might get angry, but I always calm down by reminding myself that there are worse things that could happen, and that everything is going to work out.

Plus, we create our own energy, really...So if you tend to be pessimistic, things will seem to turn out badly, because that is how you choose to see it...and vice versa.

ha. wow. what a hard question for me. i have to say i am generally pessimistic. i am a happy person, but that is a different thing in my opinion. the way i look at things: i have an incredibly hard time with trust. it takes much in order for me to trust someone. i see this as negitivity because if i do not know someone, i already mark them off as a bad person because i do not trust them. i link ill trust with pessimism. i am also very wary and have a tendency to deny that others are telling the truth when they probably are. i am a skeptic and contradictive.

but on the other hand i love to laugh and have fun. i love to speak words of wisdom to others and i love to be an encouragement to those who are disheartened. i see this as optimism.

so i suppose it holds true for me what paramore says, "for a pessimist i'm pretty optimistic." :)

My glass is always empty and walking on all 4 .Lol.

Joking aside, I am very grounded although, I have a small part of Scorpio rising and mostly Leo, that is the only part of the chart that gives me optimism and a boost.

My Sun, Mercury, Mars, Pluto are all in Virgo in the 10th house.

But I don't feel one bit pessimistic and must be because of Jupiter conj. Venus sextile to Moon and Neptune.
