  1. I'm on the side of the Team.

It's a Business....It has to go forward or risk going under.

I wouldn't wait for someone that was retiring to make my

business go forward......How do you make any money/Pay bills that way ??

  2. After 3 season of dragging this out Favre finally decided to retire.  The Packers had no choice but to move on.  They decided to go with Aaron Rodgers as their starter and drafted Brian Brohm as a backup/future challenger for the starting job.  They had already moved on when Brett decided that he just might not be done playing after all.  I like Brett, and I think he was and still is a great quarterback.  Furthermore I think Green Bay would be better off with him this season than without him, but Rodgers is entering the final year of his contract and Favre can't play forever.  They had to make the decision that would benefit them not only this year, but for years to come.

I like Brett, but this is business and the Packers made the right decision.

  3. Even though I love Brett to death he was completely wrong about everything.  Thompson/McCarthy did the right thing by not letting Brett have his way this time.  They finally realized they're in control of the team.  I mean I'll be honest I'd rather have Brett at QB this year the Aaron but if Brett didn't want to play here in GB nor did he want to compete with Aaron for the starting job, then cut him loose and that's what they did.

  4. i'm on Favre's side and i don't give a c**p if he kept talking about retirement the last three season and it's all about business, if it was all about business you put the best players on the field to win , and everyone knows right now Favre is better then Rodgers , and i still wonder if Thompson and McCarthy think Rodgers can take the Packers further the Favre can , why didn't they have a QB competetion to prove that they were makeing the right decision , i mean i would rather find out in traning camp , rather then letting a guy go who i know will win , then putting a guy on the field that was handed the job and might win, bottom line is i think , Thompson and McCarthy want to do thing their way no matter what and if it means putting Rodgers as the starting QB cause they like him more , cause deep down even Thompson and McCarthy know Favre is the better QB , that's why the were SCARED to face him twice a year if he went to a division rival

  5. It was favre's fault to decide to play in june. If he wanted to play that bad, he should have said it earlier.

  6. Favre's

  7. Neither.  Its never happened in sports, egos got in the way, and they are both right, and both wrong (like in the movie Crimson Tide!).

That being said, Favre is going to the Hall of Fame, and by the time he gets there, nobody will remember who Ted Thompson and McCarthey are....

  8. I applaud the Packers brass for talking a stance by saying "enough is enough." I don't think Favre knows yet what hit him. He looked lost in that press conference. He's just stunned the Packers didn't give him his way.

  9. Woooooow.......do you guys even try to look at Brett Favres career stats? The dude has 17+ Interceptions in like 7 of his NFL season.....he is good, but a bit overrated. Brady is going to be spanking him and the Jets two times this season.

  10. Favre's

  11. Neither.  I don't care one way or another.  I'm actually happy he went to the Jets because I hate the Patriots, and hopefully they will give the Patriots some trouble within the division.  I know the Pats will still win the division but at least SOMEBODY in the AFC East will be more competitive.
