  1. No.

I was not given an opportunity either to think or imagine.

  2. Yes I'm almost there.

  3. Well my mom told me that when I was a kid, I wanted to be three things.

    1. Work at McDonald's so I could eat all the happy meals I wanted.

    2. An ice cream truck driver so I could have all the ice cream I wanted.

    and...

    3. A cars salesman so I could ride on those things that spin the really nice looking cars around.

And so far, no, I am not on any of those paths. Too bad I guess.

  4. I still haven't decided what I want to do, but I know it's none of the things I wanted when I was younger.

  5. More or less. I don't have work to go to. Instead I get to go to this building and I get to do stuff I would do for a hobby for myself anyway and then for some reason each week, they give me an envelope with a check in it. But work? No, I don't work. I just design and make prototypes of electronic stuff. Right now I am playing with digital signal processors

But for some reason the people in the back make copies of the gadgets I build and ship them out all over the world. They just shipped out a million dollars of them to Saudi Arabia this last week and an amplifier I built several years ago somehow had a bunch of copies made by the people in the back, powering the basketball arena at the Olympics.

And for some reason they send me on trips a couple times a year, all expenses paid, to cities where it just happens there is a trade show going on where there are a bunch of other people like me who don't have jobs either but we all have a good living.

So yes, I am more or less doing what I set out to do. To tinker on the work bench and to play all day on the computer, doing what I want.

I am 57 now and I still wonder what I will do when I grow up.

My daughter is following the same path and some day hopes to have a train set to play with after she finishes her masters degree in transportation. She is not sure though if it will be Burlington Northern Santa Fe or Union Pacific.

  6. I'm really fortunate because I did become a serial murderer.

To think, my Dad said killing all those dogs would never get me anywhere...

  7. Kinda. I wanted to be a veterinarian. I'm now going to Nursing school to get my RN next year.

  8. i have a dream but, i haven't exactly reached it yet. .  It's def be with me since i was a child. .  At least what i still wanna b

  9. Not yet...just getting thru a few milestones first..

  10. yes. i'm going to be a ballet dancer. im 16 and dance like 8 hours a day.

  11. not exactly, but then again.. i never imagined a career for myself as a child.. i'm happy with what i'm doing though, and it's not to say that what i'm doing now is what i'll be doing later on in life..

i think too much planning is a waste of time, think no longer than a couple years ahead seriously, and have a vague idea of a long term plan.. it'll become clearer as time goes so long as you keep progressing and working at things you feel are useful or fun..

  12. No.  My Path is 100% unexpected...... does not even come near to what I expected.

Every day I get up, its like a new page that has to be filled in and I fill it in as I go along......  It is as if I am a spectator looking on!

  13. Child of what age? If you mean 'as a boy/girl', then I must say, YES! I'm on the same path what I imagined in my very earlier age.

  14. No I wanted to be a lawyer, then a marine biologist, I'm neither
