Are you or Will you immune to the future disaster?

Question

More natural disaster occurred around the globe - Do you think people will eventually ignoring the situation as long as the disaster doesn't happen in your own country?

I've asked a related question (Earthquake in China) earlier* and people seems to be a bit politics minded but caring for the people who are suffering.

As terriable as all those diasters were I don't think anyone can be immune or be prepared enough.We all are saddened with them but you can only do so much.
