Are you people complete flippin' idiots?? Your "new and improved" message board format reduces its usefulness

Question

The principal value of the Yahoo message boards is that posters can follow a train of thought. However, too many times, a poster will start a new thread without intending to or, conversely, stay on a thread when a new one should be started. It isn't consistent. I and most other people I have communicated with strongly prefer the chronological format. You have become arrogant. I intend to propose switching to other boards, as yours has become a cookie cutter copy of other, less useful boards. Good job of shooting yourself in the foot!!!

I agree. Yahoo messed up a good thing. Nobody I've talked to likes it either. The chronological format is the way to go. Now we are just like the other boards. I think the volume on Yahoo's message boards will decrease. Their advertisers won't appreciate that. Way to go Yahoo...you totally effed it up.

I agree the new format sucks, but it is as much due to the topic page layout as it is to the crono vs thread issue...  The new format takes up twice as much vertical space as the old format did-- makes it really a pain to scan for thread titles of interest.   But remember, it was largely Yahoo's "expertise" with the user interface that made Google what it is today...

Yes, they are (complete flippin' idiots).  I have yet to read any user that likes the format and can share how to use it effectively.  Currently searching for an alternative toYahoo.  If Yahoo doesn't want to lose all that click revenue they had better provide an option to revert to the old format.

           I tryed to leave a question on the message bords and when I came back an hour later I couldn't even find my question no matter how may key words I put in.

          It was probably user ignorance on my part but frusterating none the less.

           Ummm did you have a question here or just a rant?
