I was just thinking about the ppl who talk about how good the war is and want it to continue but don't enlist. They thank the soldiers and want them to serve overseas defending them but don't contribute to lighten the load. So what is your posistion?

  1. I’m against the war, I was in the army, I think bush is ridiculous and I think it’s about time we have someone new for commander in chief.  I support the troops more than 100% and I feel like I did my part for the country.  I think that everyone should have to serve at least a couple years.  It is good life experience.  I support from the sideline now, I support all my friends that are still in, in Iraq and Afghanistan and here at home.  You don’t have to support the war to support the troops!  I love the USA!!  :)

  2. I know the most honourable thing to do would be to enlist, but I have a decent job on more money at home.

The least I can do is support our troops and be grateful and appreciative for what they are doing. If I am not going to fight surely it is better for me respect our troops than undermine them by claiming we should not be fighting in the first place.

  3. I'm too old now, but would have gone when I was in the USMC in my younger days. I can't respect anyone who would cheer from the sidelines, but not as you put it, "lighten the load". I absolutely despise anyone who criticizes from the sidelines.

  4. I am for the war but could not serve.  And even if I could fix the problems I am past it at this point.

Actually it was a bit of a blow because everyone thought I would serve, h**l it's all I ever talked about.

I still imagine being in command of a tank roaring across the battlefield.

Unfortunately reality is a cruel thing some times.

I have family and friends that serves however and I support them.
