I find it flattering that people would want to come here from vastly different places and cultures.

  1. Yes, I am.

  2. Yes, it's a beautiful rainbow the way it should be.

  3. No, nor should anyone else be.

  4. I would like to say yes however I cannot. The United States is much like other countries which are home to many different and generally divided groups.Whether it is racism, classism, sexism or any other 'ism', the US if full of it. The only difference here is people are expected to keep their prejudices bottled up which just leads to more quiet bigotry. At least in the past, you knew who hated you upfront. Now people hate each other while smiling and waiting to back stab them. Sorry, I don't think that's something to be proud of.

  5. Yes!  With all the things that need to be better, there are still so many great and wonderful things about our country - and that's one of the big ones!

We are a shining beacon to the rest of the world in this regard.

  6. No, not proud, but I do think it makes for a stronger, more secure country.

  7. I don't mind people coming here as long as they have something to offer and just don't suck onto the system.

  8. Yes, i am glad people want to come to OUR country.

  9. Im proud and i think thats another of the many reasons the rest of the world hates us. I like being in a country even though now we are in a recession

  10. Yes, however, I find it offensive when they try to "CHANGE" my country to theirs...

  11. Yes, when it referred to the US as "The Great Melting Pot"; no when we have so many that do not even bother trying to assimilate & become American.  It is great to be proud of your heritage and to a point a broader pallete of humanity can have a lot more to offer in wisdom and takes on particular cultural issues at large; but the drain on society as a whole when you have to hire 2/3/4 times as many teachers (or whatever job you want to put here) so that the kids can understand in their "native" language and also learn... you may have a math teacher that's great at it but cannot speak but 1 language - so some kid is going to have to settle for someone whose possible ok with math but can speak his language.  A ridiculous situation.
