I am so happy that more and more people are standing up and giving the Monks a break. They can't do it all, but at least they started it. I wish I was healthy enough to go help and march. All they want is what most of us have, freedom and the right to speak and worship as we want.

  1. i know exactly what you mean, as far as i am concerned i think that all nations should be independent of each other, yet support each other through an infrastructure such as the EU or UN. as for countries such as the USA (and I'm not saying that all Americans are like this) who get involved in other countries policies such as the Palestine situation, they should just butt out, all they are doing is making the situation worse than it already was!

  2. If we did the same here we would be beaten up also and thrown in jail. We have a lot to complain about because the government is fleecing us just as bad and restricted our freedoms just as bad. Cameras watch our every move and computers track our lives.

The Burmese have it easy. I feel sorry for those here who think we have more freedom than they have in Burma. That is the biggest fiction on BBC right now.

All this rubbish about others not having freedom is just to make us miss the restrictions we face. In fact it is becoming too claustrophobic and I can tell you.

  3. It's not just good that they're protesting, it's the way they're going about it, in a way that has given the Burmese army no excuse to start massacring them.

The monks were brilliant, and everyone knew they were against violence, so they've given everyone else a head start by focusing the worlds media on their situation.

I know the media sometimes comes in for alot of criticism, but in this case they may have helped keep the Burmese people from coming to harm.

  4. FREEDOM TO ALL THE PEOPLE IN THIS WORLD.

not just Burmese but to all other countries that are living under dictatorship.......

Let freedom rings and bring peace to the World.

"why can't we all get alone?"

    "because we all are different"

"who say we all are different? open me up and look inside of me, I m the same as you."

  5. I join the international calls of condemnation against the military regime and we must all demand justice for the people of Burma, regardless of what the regime decided to name itself.

  6. Yes, maybe we British people should take a leaf out of their book and start fighting for our freedom from this useless government and the dictats of the EU.

  7. Absolutely!!!

  8. Admire anyone who is standing up for freedom but I don't know many thugs that responded to prayers unless they were written on lead.

  9. Am I proud? No. And why is it, everytime a country has a problem, everyone looks to the US and the UK to go charging in trumpets blaring like the 7th Cavalry ffs.

Let China or Germany or Russia or...I was going to say the French, but well, they don`t have many white flags left.

The UK and US should keep well away from it.

And it`s got **** all to do with oil, before you oil nutters start.

  10. Pride and happiness seem to be an odd sentiments to bestow upon them.  There is really nothing anyone outside of Myanmar can do to help them (short of a military invasion).  Empathy and encouragement are fine...but they are not tangible contributions to their plight.

  11. I am not proud. More worried and frustrated with the situation there. What will this lead to? Burmese cannot hope nor depend upon UN or US or UK. They depend upon the west so much. The activists from the west are instigating them and making them die for what? Now who will save them?

If you cannot help 100% you better leave them alone. They will take another decade to know what their rights are.

  12. yes,i'm proud,absolutely.

  13. Mass disobedience always warms my heart and restores my faith in humanity

  14. I notice that around the world, those who fight for freedom are more likely to appreciate it.  Many take freedom for granted and forget what sacrifice it takes to become free or remain free.  I am proud of the Burmese people for standing up and taking up the torch of freedom.

  15. That is great. The poor monks were being abused and killed.

  16. You are a total naive idiot.

1- the monks are NOVICE which means APRRENTICE which means serve for less than one year

They wear scarlet and their head is not yet tanned.

    REAL MONK WEARS BROWN.

    2 Freedom- Mynamr people have

    3- Right to speak can

    - Right to criticise government- cannot

    Worship- can

You idiot colonials do not comprehend- the people protesting are the ethnic parasites you imported as you l**k-spittles to your former colony.

Now Myanmar and Nawpydaw have returned to former glory as free empire and vassal of China, Siam and Java.

All ASEAN allies aside from your puppets Singapore have committed reserves of 750,00 crack combat soldier if any NATO, or US-UK colonial dare step foot on Asian soil.

    All neo-colonialsim will be annihlated.
