Question

The season kicks off on Thursday night after 7 long months of nothing but Baseball, Basketball, and NASCAR. Who is your team and how do you think they will do this season?

My team is the Pats and after a dissapointing end to what looked like the first perfect season since 1972 I hate to say it but I think they are going to have a hard time rebounding from that... though the weak schedule may just keep them in the hunt for their 4th championship. I'm excited to see our new defense in regular season action and I'm a little anxious to find out if the rumors of an injured Brady are true or not. So, how about you... what are you looking forward to the most this season?

For a Pats fan, I appreciate your honesty. Im a niner fan and have been waiting over 4 yrs to see them get back into contention for the division. With a Martz offense, Frank Gore and a much improved Oline and improved defense in the linebacker and corners, I expect them to finally be in contention and at least make a wild card bid this year.

Dallas Cowboys and I think they have a great chance with all of the changes made, new additions etc.  This is the best time of year when you get both Nascar and Football!  Who could ask for anything more!

my favorite college team looks great, Georgia (no I'm not a bandwagon fan, I've wanted to swim for them since I was like 10, I'm 15 now) and then my NFL team is up in the air, the Colts, have a lot of injuries that need to be sorted out, but I think that will be resolved by the end of September or early October so I think they will win just enough games to win their division or get the wild card spot and hopefully make some noise in the playoffs.

I like the Packers.  I dislike the Patriots, but it's nothing against you, of course.  I just didn't like how they cheated last year.  However, I bet a ton of other teams have done it, too.  I would have to say if it wasn't for these three things:

1.  Bill Belechick

2.  Tom Brady

3.  They Cheated

I might actually have liked them.  I guess I would like to see Matt Cassel play a little (unless they cut him) and see how he could handle the Patriots.  But enough of that.  I think it will be fun to see who takes the starting position at QB, for the Pack.  It's probably going to be Aaron Rogders, however, after Matt Flyyn's awesome TD on Thursday, I'm not so sure.  I have a feeling that whoever want's the second string position is going to be a big battle.  Who knows.  I also think that Ryan Grant is a rising star in the Running Back position, and that Mason Crosby is going to be one of the toughest kickers in the league [for the next few years or more.]  The Packers are truly going to be interesting this year.
