If so why?

When the sun swallows the earth, everything will die, and humanity may well be over long before that.

even within the next thousand years, no one will remember you or the pitiful gestures you made to save a doomed planet. Bravo...

So are you?

  1. Not really.  I will admit that when I do, it is usually with something that will save me money.  I am selfish.  Oh well.

And no - I don't buy into the global warming c**p either.

  2. YEP....

alas the draw backs of my going green will be the fact that jerks like you will have clean air to breathe clean water to drink and more fossil fuel to burn.

Sure the sun will supernova, but Ill will have had clean air and plenty of energy, but so will you. Sharing can be tough at times but I guess the better man or woman will have to rise above people like you and provide those things already mentioned and forget about ungrateful and insensitive a person you are. It is only befitting of a Nihilist

  3. But it will happens faster if we do not do something about this. Check this website for some inspiration:

  4. um yeah i read some of your answer and those people that said " nah i don't  buy that c**p " um yeah i ts gonna happen so you better start because have you guys seen the landfills? they are huge and look around you cant even see the clear blue skies anymore

  5. Somewhat because I do want to take better care of the earth.

But not because of the global warming scare, I dont buy into that bull. I have researched it enough to think otherwise. For instance did you know that cow manure alone puts out more co2 emissions then all the cars in america in a year. Or one volcano eruption puts out more then mankind ever has! Also the scare before this was global freezing and look where that got us.

If people honestly think they have enough power to save the world then good luck to them.

  6. To be honest, no.

For some stange reason I'm not at all bothered.

I mean, we're all going to die some day anyway, aren't we?

  7. I am.  I don't now exactly when this supernova will happen and in the meantime I have to live here.

  8. we all should be good steward of the earth.  yes the sun will nova and that it...oblivion.  i'll be d**n i want clean air, clean water and renewable energy for myself and my next generations.

  9. Yes, I'm making efforts to go 'green' for many reasons. The top two are my own mind set and money. I believe I am trying to make a difference and by doing so, hopefully, can inspire others to. Just like the viral effect on internet, if I do it and tell ten people and those ten people tell ten more people and they all 'go green' then that's a lot more people making a difference.

And my second reason is financially motivated. I read on this website: http://blog.forrent.com/category/apartme...  that 'going green' can save me some money in the long run. And hey, with the economy being what it is, I'm good for that! I hope a lot of people don't have the same mentality you do.

  10. There are many reasons I have gone green but here are my top two.

Peace of Mind: I may not be able to fix the problems our environment faces by myself but I have made the choice of not contributing to it. The more I become aware, the more I can make changes in my own life. If the worst happens I'll at least know that I tried.

Financial: There are so many ways to go green that also save money. Like most of us these days, I have to watch my budget. Without spending much money up front, my green habits have saved a ton of money on my utility bills, gasoline, cleaning products and resisting the impulse of buying things I really don't need or want, etc.

  11. A little, although I should more, but I will with little steps. You may not believe that one person can make a difference but I do. If you do it, your friends might do it, you can get other people to go a little greener.

  12. I'm going green. Being green is cool. And whether or not you believe in Global Warming, we can all still treat our Earth as it should be and not litter, waster electricity, and pollute it like a bunch of dumb idiots. So everyone, be GREEN...its cool. :]

  13. I try to be green.

Because I just think about my back yard. I enjoy the fact that there is not a dump there. I am happy to see clean water in my pool. There are many many other reasons right in my back yard.

When the sun swallows earth? Humanity may be over? Well, lets try to avoid that situation. Lets try to keep humans here as long as we can. Remember, these are my descendants and yours too, and I want them to live long healthy lives. Maybe even know before the sun swallows the earth when it's going to happen, and move somewhere else.

No one will remember what I do? Who cares? I don't. I do it for my family. I hope to have hundreds of generations of descendants, and for them all to not have to live with the damage we have done to the planet. I don't want them to have to walk around on mounds of garbage created by my generation.

If we continue to clutter the planet with garbage, we wont have to worry about people remembering us for our "pitiful" efforts to keep the planet clean. We will be remembered as the generation that caused the end of planet earth. The generation that cause humanity to have to leave the planet. How would you like being remembered for that?

Bravo to you too...for wasting your time bashing what others are trying to do to help our planet. Maybe it isn't helping anything. Maybe a large group of people just watched Care Bears to much when they were young? I dunno, but you are really just wasting your time bugging people about their way of life.

  14. i am trying to make my carbon footprint larger, kind like a status symbol saying hey, " I got money to burn"

  15. I am going a little greener. Not because of the idiots that cry Global Cooling I mean Global Warming er wait I think it's Climate Change today.

I am doing it because of local pollution. The air in Phoenix is pretty smoggy and that is the ONLY reason.

  16. Yes, I am trying to because even if my "pitiful gestures" don't work alone, if everyone else does it together, it may work.  The reason why I am trying to go green and get others to too, is because I want the world to be as good as it is now or even better for my future kids, grandkids, ect!!!

  17. I'm going green, because I want to live a healthier life. Yes, there is the possiblitiy that the end of the world will come before we figure out how to reverse our damage to the earth, but I've always lived my life with a plan for the worst hope for the best attitude.

My father is native American and I was raised to live in harmony with our environment, both of my parents were raised in a sustainable lifestyele. So, I'm trying to find a balance. I live in a typical suburb, my house looks much like everyother, I do however have the lowest utility bill of anyone I know, I also rarely fill my garbage 1/4 of the way. I have one of the few lawns with worms in it. I shop at an organic farmers market and local ranch for most of my produce and meat. I've owned a Prius for 6 years, and our other car is also a hybrid, we also use our bikes as a form of transportation. I use natural cleaning and beauty products.

All these changes benifit me directly. I have fewer chemicals in my life, and I save a lot of money. It is an added benifit that it also helps the earth.
