Living here in Chicago the football season is always an interesting one. Will Hester deliver this year? With all that money he d**n well better. And will our draft pick Chris williams deliver? After his surgery I don't know.

Well we are ready! My 5 yr old daughter has her new jersey for this season and we are stoked. Anyone else ready for this season?

And what about those cubs! Fukedome seems better with all that batting practice. Could we break the curse? (I don't believe in it though) Let's keep our fingers crossed! Gotta love chicago sports.

  1. I am so ready for football. Thursday night is just 2 days aways. My wife says I'm like a kid waiting for Christmas. She doesn't get it, this is Christmas for me. Your Bears are just like my Ravens. Need a solid a QB. I've heard that the Ravens are talking about signing Joey Harrington (The Falcons just released him). I do not understand that front office. They have a heisman trophy winner, a guy that has his back against the wall, and is due for a break out season, and another guy who they gave a lot of money this year. And still you go get another QB who other teams reject. Another disappointing year for me. At least your bears still have the great defense and return man. We don't even have that anymore.

  2. Go Chargers and Rays

  3. I think you should focus on the Cubs. They are an exciting team with alot of potential this year.

The Bears will be lucky to win 7 games this  year. Their Qb situtation is just to iffy. With all the great offensive teams out there right now, its impossible to compete without a solid QB. Football has shifted over to put more emphasis on offense then defense these days.

  4. I've been ready for football since after the draft in April.  I have to agree with your boyfriend's assessment that the Bears didn't look too impressive in camp and preseason this year.  The main issue with this team is a lack of competent QB under center.  True the defense is impressive but the lack of scoring on the part of the Bears will put tremendous pressure on the defense.  They are only human and can only handle so much before they'll break.  They need a balanced team where the offense can sustain some drives and let the defense get their wind back on the sidelines.  I don't understand why the Bears Organization didn't pick up a QB from either the draft or free agency.  But even with all the things that are going on in the NFL I'm still really excited about the NFL kicking off soon.
