Are you really Agnostic?

Or are we just Atheists who are too chicken to say so?

Yes, I am really agnostic.

I think the ones accusing us of being fence sitters are just looking for some kind of conflict, not discussion. Some people can only see others as 'friend or foe' (enter the theistic and atheistic fundies).

These people are minor irritants... that's all.

I  found that asked of me recently from a man I used to see at church every weekend! I live in a small community and the only morning service I go to is at 9: am  and I get out of work at exactly the same time.

He figures I should stop doing my job and be more obedient to  (His version of GOD) GOD! I still go to the bible studies and tithe to the church and is good friends with the minister. yet I am now a fallen christian for supporting my family.

  Needless to say I study the bible daily and listen to mostly Christian radio but it all winds up as someones perception of you that makes you religious, or Agnostic or Atheist!

Like an An Atheist stopping to help someone is a Christian at heart!

I think it's time to forget the labels and live our life's as we have intended. Help people when we can and be very much left alone from the hypocrites in all three categories!

It's as close to a religious label that I can put on myself. Besides Pagan.  I'm still walking the forest and the fields, the deserts and the mountains.  And frequently, I'm howling at the moon and stars from the fence.  =)

Yes, and my political views are Moderate. Also, my house is built on a fence, and I can't decide which side of it to paint.

I think it's really sad when Atheists challenge Agnostics like that.  It reminds me of the fundy mentality, when they say they are the only "real Christians."  I see Agnostic and Atheist terms used interchangably and I don't really care which you call me.  To me it's largely a matter of semantics.

I think if you define yourself as an Agnostic, then that's what you are.  And you're not a "2nd Class Atheist" or any such c**p. :)

No, I'm not an atheist and i don't see myself ever being one. Until you can show me proof either way I'll just assume it is impossible to know.

Atheists are de facto agnostics.

There *could be* a god or deity, if we assume this deity to be part of the mysteries of the universe we don't comprehend or understand.

LOL.  I think the latter but then again, I am not one to just say outright, "There is no god."  What proof do I have and what proof do I have otherwise (that he exist)?  So it's hard.  I consider myself agnostic because I am still trying to find out things, you know, and not willing to just say something foolish.
