Are you required to take PE (gym) for 12 weeks in school?

In Junior High, I take it this first semester, next year it's the second semester. Are you required to have it all year long or only for a semester or 12 weeks?

We have to take it for half the school year all through high school. So like an hour and 15 minutes every day september through january OR february-june. Now it's mandatory to graduate.

for me, i had to take it from kindergarden to grade 8 for the whole year.

but in grade 9 (this year) i only have to take it for the first semester which is september to january.

soo yeah.

but i think it really depends on the school.

i took it for one semester. but it was worth it, seeing as you raise stamina and what not. but they gave me phys ed in 2nd semester

At my school you did.. Only in 7th grade though.. Or you could have done Cross Country ( thats what i did ), Basketball, Football or any other sport.

So i never had PE...

In my state you need to take it every semester from Kindergarten through 12 grade. Except when you take Health for a Semester. But yeah, I'm forced to take it even more. Which isn't so great if you aren't the best at sports.

in my school, you could do it two ways. you need 2.5 credits. last year, we took health and wellness (mandatory), and this year we will take either 1 year of it for 42 minutes or 1 semester of it for 84 minutes. we get 1 credit for each of those, and the .5 for family and consumer science, which we have to take as part of our p.e.

But I only take 1 because I take a foreign language

Well when I was in Junior High you never even had to take it.

but in highschool (in Florida)

you need atleast 1 gym credit to graduate.

In mine, you take 9 weeks and you have a chouce of that or health
