You could say "It is what it is; what is there not to be satisfied with?"

But then you could argue that if Augustine had not incorporated Plato into Christianity that we might perhaps be seven centuries ahead of where we were the "day the earth stood still" during the Dark Ages.

You could also argue that if there was a separation of science and state for the same reason as between church and state, some things would be more advanced. The only reason we have civilians going into space for themselves, like Richard Branson's company is, is because President Reagan got government out of the way by signing either a bill or a Presidential order (I'm not sure which) which ALLOWED civilians to enter the space race.

The current Bush administration is preventing work on stem cells. Political correctness is pushing for the theory of "global warming" instead of looking at the science that says China and other parts of the globe had the worst winter in 100 years last year; Washington and Colorado had snow on their mountains in June; the south pole has 17 more inches of ice than in any age since man discovered it; that the mean temperature of earth has cooled in the last 2 years more than it has risen in the last 100 years; that if the solar flares do not start soon (they are more than a year late) the earth will see a winter such as no living man has seen before, and that it is the cutting of the Amazon Rain Forest, the biggest weather-maker on earth, which has changed weather patterns.

So no, I'm not satisfied.

i'm satisfied. i won't want anything else to carry me up in the morn and brush my teeth and bathe me. i can do those myself!

while we all use technology everyday, and therefore we can't knock it as such.  Isn't it technology and all our advances that are ruining our planet?  If we just stopped and were taught how to exist without our modern technologies wouldn't we be saving our planet?  In this case I think we need less technology.  That said, I guess now we need new technology that are green in order to save our planet...how ironic is that?

I'm cool, however, it would be nice to travel around the galaxy and be able to travel at the speed of light! Hopefully in the new future!

I want less. It's all nice and convienent sure but I think it's taken away alot of how we communicate with people. It's always ims and text messages. Whatever happend to just talking to someone face to face.
