  1. No, I think this was just a freak thing that could have happened anywhere.  It could have happened at your local supermarket.  It has nothing to do with Greyhound or buses in general.

  2. Nope.

But it's definitely further motivation to go apply for a concealed carry permit.

  3. No, just in Canadada.

  4. You can die in a car crash at any time.  Disasters occur everywhere all the time.  Life's a gamble.  I'd ride a Greyhound if I had to.

  5. I rode greyhound once, not to long ago, and was equally scared of both the drivers, and the passengers.

  6. Thats not too comforting, and i'd probably rather take a train, or fly.

  7. No, I'm scared to visit Canada though. That's what happens when you ban peoples rights to own and carry firearms to protect themselves. Had at least one person on that bus been allowed to own and carry a concealed weapon that nut who attacked that man would be dead right now, and the victim might be alive today.

  8. Now i am. im scheduled to ride greyhound next week and i didnt even know about that. but i guess theres always risks no matter what you do. ill probably be fine though.

  9. I am not scared to travel by bus cause this could of happened in a subway or a plane. We all think if we're careful, if we don't talk to strangers, if we don't get in cars we don't know, if we don't accept drinks from strange men we're ok and nothing bad will happen to us...this just makes me feel we are safe nowhere and we should not even close our eyes for 1 minute when in a public place.

  10. This was a random event which could happen in a Mall, School, any public place whether it be transit or not.  Though it is a first in Canada, & an appallingly horrific event, it does not represent the average Bus trip in Canada.  God forbid any idiot who would attempt a copycat scenario, but it's not likely such violence will occur again on Greyhound.  Therefore I would not fear traveling via Greyhound or any bus.  I think this event is a reflection of todays soical mentality over all.  Too many unstable people are falling through the cracks & their threats or irrational behaviours are being ignored as societies apathy is growing everywhere, until a tragic event like this one happens & then we become fixated on where it happened & not on the type of person who fits the bill to commit such a terrible act of violence.

My condolences to the family & friends of the victim, it indeed was a senseless murder.

  11. Not really.

  12. NO. i never ride it anyway
