Shocking news or just what has been under discussion for several months? Maybe it is just a hapless attempt to grab a headline following the RNC events. Was it a whole percentage point increase or not?

  1. It's the highest it's been in 5 years. That's significant.

  2. It's gone from about 5.5 to 6.1 Obama doesn't think his supporters will look it up.

He wants to use it for shock value and make his supporters think they need him to save them from a broken economy. He fails to tell them that the unemployment rate was 6.91% when Bill Clinton was president and our economy never collapsed.

  3. Obama lacks experience, what more would you expect, Obama makes up numbers as he goes along

    McCain in 08

  4. From Yahoo headlines today:

The jobless rate jumped to 6.1 percent in August, from 5.7 percent in July.

    That's not Obama, that's fact.

You must either live in your own world or are rich to think the American economy is doing well.

  5. As soon as I heard, I knew he was going to use it.

If him and congress would go vote, we could start an energy plan, but it seems Congress wants to wait until January to debate an energy plan,

  6. I  didn't get my information from Obama but the statistics are shocking and he is usually pretty accurate so if he says it it may be true, why don't you do some research and find the facts.
