  1. Haven't had that problem since I started riding a Harley.

  2. Used to get stuck back on my SuperGlide. It weighed too little to set off the lights. But, the good news: If there is no one around, the law in most states allow a motorcycle to run the light after waiting two minutes, or some variation of that rule. If no one is there, who would know anyway?

My Deuce at over 700 pounds has no problem setting off the sensors- just look for the grid in the pavement.

As for the magnets, if they are strong enough, they can work. I sincerely doubt that those little tiny magnets that were on the Youtube have enough pull. GreenLight - a $24 magnet- is much bigger and much more powerful. Frankly, I wouldn't bother. If there is a car behind you, have them pull up closer to you. If no one is there, no one sees what you do.

  3. They work, I had trouble all over town till I put one on.

  4. Near many traffic signals, there is a loop of wire placed just below the road surface.  There is a signal that passes through the loop that detects when there is a vehicle inside.

The signal detects the presence of iron.  The problem is that many motorcycles do not have enough iron in them to trigger the signal.

There are several devices that can be mounted on the bottom of the motorcycle that can fool the signal into thinking a larger vehicle is there.  They are usually just large magnets that can trigger the signal.  They are easy to install and relatively inexpensive.

Not all motorcycles have this problem.  I do not have this problem with my current ride.  But I used to have a problem with my previous ride.

See the first link below for more information.

See the second link below for an example of one of these devices.

  5. I'm dubious.

  6. It does not work....I tryed it here where I live and none of the light's were ever triggered by even more powerful magnets then he was using.

    Mine were over 3" across.

  7. I've heard of this before, and I also heard that the magnets can harm you bike's electronics. This is what I heard, I don't know any thing about them personally.

  8. The one I get stuck at will work if I put the kickstand down.

The one at the parking garage where I work won't open for my motorcycle at all.  I have to use the garage clicker to get out.

  9. ive never gotten stuck at a light yet...i stop in the left tire track or right every time

  10. ha ha brillant

  11. Snake oil.  If they worked, some states wouldn't be considering letting motorcycles (safely) run red lights.
