  1. Once you're a felon you're always a felon. Your legal history stays to haunt you. That's one of the repercussions of doing a crime and being sent away for it.

  2. yes...FOREVER

  3. The previous writer was correct. The good news is if one has a 20 year old felony, and has been conviction free since then they can request a Certificate of Rehabilitation from the Superior court in their county. They will need some information when they call the Public Defenders office, such as the date of offense, date of conviction, which court they were tried in, etc. Case number is also required. In the meantime it would be required to obtain three character reference letters from friends, employer, etc. You do not need an attorney to do this. Once all the information is recieved by the public defenders office they will review it, and if everything is OK, they will request a court hearing so that the judge can review the case and make his or her decision. If a Certificate of Rehabilitaion in the State of California it will automatically go to the Govenors office for a possible pardon. That will take a long time, but do you have to lose? Hope this helps.

  4. yeah.

  5. Depending on the type of felony, if your record has been clean for 20 plus years you can always go to the County Court and request an espongement. First go to the County Hall of Records and get a copy of your arrest record and then submit them to the Court to clear your record...
