  1. NO and pescatarians are not vegetarians.

Vegetarians don't eat ANY animal. And I believe you already knew that.

  2. If you wanna call yourself one, sure, go for it...stuck up vegetarians who get mad at that are working themselves up over nothing. I don't eat any meat, but I occasionally take a fish oil supplement, and I still consider myself vegetarian.

  3. No vegetarians do not eat animals.

    Clams and shrimp are animals.

Some people may call themselves "pescetarians" or "believers of fish" but they are not a type of vegetarian.

  4. hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.....  Vegetarians don't eat animals.  I thought everyone knew that.

  5. It's sometimes called Pescetarianism.

  6. A Vegetarian eats plants.  Clams and shellfish are in the Animal kingdom they aren't plants!   So if you eat clams or shellfish or any type of fish  you're not vegetarian!

Oh some Vegetarians do eat eggs even though eggs aren't plants.. no animal had to die to have eggs!

  7. A vegetarian by the definition of the word does not eat any type of living creature.

    veg·e·tar·i·an

–noun 1. a person who does not eat or does not believe in eating meat, fish, fowl, or, in some cases, any food derived from animals, as eggs or cheese, but subsists on vegetables, fruits, nuts, grain, etc.

  8. Some would say yes, some would say no.

I would say no. Clams/shellfish and other seafood including fish are animals and vegetarians do not consume animal or animal sourced foods.

  9. no you are not

  10. No, true vegetarians only eat vegetables. There are Pesco-vegetarians who eat seafood and no other flesh. Im sure there are a couple other types also

  11. True vegetarians don’t eat the flesh of animals. Full stop. End of story.

Last time I looked things like fish, clams and other shellfish were still made of flesh.

So obviously the answer to your question is NO.

Well said VeggieTa - you got a thumbs up from me. I know exacly how you feel. This question is almost as annoying as the animal crackers one. ;)

I don't class myself as a vegan because sometimes (about three times a year) I still eat fish.

And I still wear a pair of leather shoes. I have had them for years and they are still in good condition, so don't want to throw them out just yet.

But 99.99.99% of the time I follow a proper vegan based diet.

But I don't “label” or call myself a vegan because obviously I am not one because of the fish consumption and leather shoes.

So once I stop eating fish and throw the leather shoes out, I can call myself a vegan, since the vegan movement is a way of life, not just the food you eat.

  12. i think people who call themselves parti vegetarians and all that are crying for attention....if your going to become a vegetarian, go all out and dont eat anything with a life

  13. no

  14. no. they are still in the animal kningdom, and by deffinition, a vegetarian does not eat any kind of animal. you are a pescitarian, but that is NOT a vegetarian. keep it up though. it will make your transition into vegetarianism really easy (if thats what you want to do). hope this helps! : )
