  1. My brother in law (18) is waiting  to go to court for driving on his own so be very careful

  2. Nope, with a bit of luck I will pass my driving test on Monday and won't have to.

  3. Seein as ive a full licence il drive on my own.......wat are you goin to do?

*Edit*, Just heard on the radio that leaner drivers are being given a reprieve for a few months before the ban is imposed!

  4. Taking down my L plates on Monday to make myself blend in and I am going to get away with it as long as I can! It's a disgrace...

yeah yeah...I am on my second provisional but I actually love being an L driver...cars keep their distance from me too ha ha!

Its a radical excuse to hide the fact that they have been atrocious at enforcing the rules of the roads... so they need someone to blame.

If they think that I am going to give my hard earned money to Bertie's over-paid fat cats up there then they have another thing coming!

Edit- I agree with the boy racers...they have to go...but for the ordinary Joe who needs to drive to work and does not speed 150mph in a Honda down the road, its going to have a bad impact on careful L drivers.

  5. sure i will !

    :)

  6. i am,the waiting time for a driving test in this country is a joke, its up to the government to speed things up,then there wouldnt be so many people with provisional licences...........

  7. I HATE this new rule!!! I like driving on my own! But my Da really puts me off when I'm driving, and he's the only one with a full license in my family! AAAAAHHHHH!!!

  8. No. Because I passed my driving test 14 years ago.

  9. i have a full license but most of my friends have provisionals, they have children and there school is a bit away so they are still going to drive alone,it cant be helped..

  10. The only thing that this is gonna lead to is "L" drivers takin down their "L" plates so there is less chance of them being caught!!

  11. are you?

  12. No, I have the full one now.

  13. Yes, unless the govern wants to take over my car/insurance payments while my car sits in the garden 24/7 while I'm waiting for a full liceLicense driver to come home from work so i can drive to the shops.

it's very unfair just to land this out of the blue. I'm waiting in my test. it's not my fault it takes so long to get it.

i also believe that full license holders Should be made resit their test after 10 or 20 years because there is so many changes to rules of the road, some full license drivers are the most atrocious drivers out there....Anyone remember""The lucky Bag License Rule"" from years ago. And don't even get me started on old people Drivers

    ARRRRAAAGGGHH

    Sorry bout the Rant

  14. i would never brag about having a full licence but -

HA HA HA - wouldn't fancy one of those €1000 fines if you get caught and i definitely wouldn't relish the thought of driving around in a matchbox

  15. I have a full licence and to be honest I think it is a good thing.  The driving standard in Ireland is as big a joke as the government.  People can't drive in Ireland, they don't know the rules of the road and as the provisional system is at present there is no incentive to pass your test.  I am glad it is changing as my wife is a spinal ward manager in Tallagh and to be honest i'm just tired of the horror stories of paralysed, amputee, and deaths that she comes home and says.  if you lot were aware of the tragedies( manslaughter) that are on our roads you might not be all complaining how unfair things are because you don't like sharing your car.  some people don't have the luxury because the person they would like to share is no longer with them.  a little humility please. It is a good thing.

  16. Well I have a full licence so it doesn't bother me and I don't know anybody who is affected by it. I do hope all the lunatic 17 year old boy racers out there get caught.

  17. Nope I would never drive on my own if I had a provisional licence.  I would not recommend it because if you get caught you are in serious trouble and not only that if you had an accident and hurt someone you would never forgive yourself!!

Luckily I have got a full licence and have had one for a number of years.
