  1. yes, and i did survive:)

  2. YES... I actually did it for 3 years when I was young.

  3. I'm street wise enough to look out for myself when I go out. I couldn't live in the streets though.

  4. no

  5. That is a good question. I believe that I could make it on the streets because I know how to talk to people. I have been homeless when I was younger. Most of these people suffer from addiction, depression and anxiety, and can't find suitable housing.

I really feel bad for the homeless especially in Canada who are suffering on the streets in this cold weather. I thank God that there are shelters and missions that offer them food and a sleeping bag.

  6. No not street wise at all - couldn't survive and too naive to be on the street. I would be running back home.

  7. Have to be honest here!! Could not survive at all, although I would love to say that I could! Then I could stop working stop having to conform to the things expected of me and be free.

Deep I know, however that kinda question stirs up so many emotions

  8. It depends what streets. Streets in London, maybe. Streets as in the back alleys of some rough estate... no.

I have been brought up in a really nice area, and quite a nice little town, but I still have had to learn how to be streetwise.. My Mother made absolute certain I could look after myself, she said you never knew when something could go wrong.

I think I could survive without money coming in too. Mainly because luxuries like TVs and Laptops don't really interest me and I wouldn't miss them too much. I rely more on entertaining myself with my imagination. Haha.

As for food - well - there are those charity food trailers in cities like London =D And then there are loads of people who are freegans, who actually have money and homes, but still choose to rummage through bins outside supermarkets for their food - I am pretty sure I could do that too. I'm not squeamish. Plus, due to my 'healthy' lifestyle, if i was thrown on the streets now I think I'd have some stores of food saved up *pats her belly*

But, I am a 5ft0 female. And even though I can fight like a terrier if I had to, unless I had something like pepper spray on the go I don't think I could hold off any rough'uns who decided to attack me.

Cold doesn't bother me, nor does darkness or hard floors.

But you never know what sleeping on the streets is like until you have to do it, so... how can I say for sure?

  9. This is a silly question.  Living on the streets is h**l.  It is not a measure of strength to be able to slum it on the streets and avoid any assistance.  What future is there on the street?  Crime? Prostitution?  Disease?

I would get your life back together again.

  10. Go back to mum - I wouldn't last 2 mins on the street - I am way too trusting!!

  11. I'd go back to mum. She loves me, and doens't mind ironing.

  12. NEITHER!  I would work extra long & hard to earn good money & then buy/rent myself a good, safe, warm, comfortable home to live in.  I would only go back to my parent's house if I had no other choice.  I would certainly not reduce myself to living on the streets.

  13. for the last 6 months or so i have had no income from work or from benefits, but i have managed to survive without running to mom.

I'd be a fool to say how though on here (we are being watched and we can easily be traced)

  14. No, no, no.

Furthermore - I could not survive on social security either

  15. No one can survive with no money coming in, not even the people already on the streets, they usually get some form of benefit.

  16. NO. If street wise means selling drugs, stealing and killing. or does street wise mean not working sleeping in the suer and getting free food from shelters. I would go back to MUM for awhile

  17. have you seen our streets?????
