Are you supporters of the Parents Television Council?

and if so, why do you believe that every show on television has to be kid friendly?

for example, the ptc has been trying to get the new show "swingtown" off the air. why? it comes on at 10 at night. it is good to see a show for adults.

i hav e children, but i dont think EVERYTHING in my life has to center around them.

do yall agree or disagree?

Its more to protect children who have parents that dont care. But I do agree, my children dont watch tv...it should be the parents responsibility to control what their children watch

yep lay off adult show should be on when the kids should be in bed 8 pm and later

I don't even think I've heard of that group. That's ridiculous.

any parent can choose what is being viewed on TV and how much. My kids mostly only watch the Disney channel and discovery kids channel.

They know better than to think their going to be watching the Simpson's or some c**p. I'm the mom.

Anyway- I love my adult type shows after the kids go to bed. Dexter, Weeds, Lost etc. I don't want people taking that away from me! LOL

I totally do not support PTC and I personally feel that they negatively intrude on people's lives for their own political ideals.  If they don't like what is on TV, block it, turn it off and do something else.  That is what I do when there is a program on that I don't like (I watched exactly one episode of the Simpsons, was disgusted, never watched again - how tough was that?).  So what if there is no evening programming for children? What in heck are they watching TV for? They should be doing family things! Good family shows with good scripts are very hard to come by. That is why they stay on year after year until the actors are plenty sick of it.

I agree. All adults shouldn't have to live in a kid friendly world just because not every parent is smart enough to watch their kids. Same thing with video games. Adults should be able have some entertainment that isn't G rated.

I am strongly against the Parents Television Council.

If parents don't want there kids to watch a show, fine, don't let them.

Don't try to ruin it for everyone else.
