Are you supposed to shave (down there)?

To put it bluntly, you can shave anywhere on your body that you want to. Just be gentle down there because shaving can cause razor burn. Try using some kind of shaving cream or soap. Also, there's stuff you can buy called Bikini Zone that helps prevent razor burn.

It is more of a personal preference. You do not have to, but some women think that it feels cleaner, and helps from any embarrassing moments in a bathing suit. It is all up to you whether or not you want to... try it if you are curious and let it grow back if you don't like it.

*Women* have hair there, that's part of what makes them women instead of girls.  Trim it up neat if you like that look or feel (or if you just don't want hairs straying out of your bathing suit), but there's almost nothing as nice as a mouthful of soft hair that tastes like the woman who loves me.

This whole "all girls shave" thing is a product of the p**n industry, because it makes for more revealing close-ups, and those close-ups sell more magazines and videos.

People have been watching those, and they're coming to believe that a bald v***a is "normal".

It isn't... except on a little girl.

Supposed to? Its a personal choice. Most people at least groom that area. Trim, shave some, shave it all off. But be aware, when it grows back...its itchy.

No, you're not "supposed to". You can do whatever you want, and if your partner doesn't like it, then that's their problem. Do what you want. Just be aware that shaving it all off isn't going to be fun at first. *shudder*

remeber to always to shave in the diretion the hair grows never against the hair. If you do you will get the worst itch ever and ingrown hairs. Use shaving cream and a new razor always.

You are not supposed to shave down there, but I think its' more hygienic. Do what you like. Most guys prefer it to be shaved.
